Am I dreaming, I saw this in appshopper this morning. I've never seen any Angry birds games for free ever. Not sure if this is a mistake or not. I tried downloading both and they work!! It doesn't say how long it will stay free, so get it while it last!!

+2 votesThere are free versions on iOS as well and they are labelled Free, they only have a handful of levels, like a "try before you buy" thing. This however is the paid versions with all the levels that is currently free. Again this is extremely rare and I don't know why Rovio (the guys who developed Angry Birds) would ever need to make it free since Angry Birds product is the most successful set of iOS games ever produced.
+1 votethe version on Android is completely unlocked, but it is just the generic Angry Birds. There are paid version for Rio, Seasons, etc, etc.

I would suggest if Google comes up with something similar more peoples will buy apps from Google play.

But I still think "iGoogle card" is a better idea.

You clearly haven't looked at the Android apps on offer if you think they're "sub-par".

I've owned 2 Android tablets and I've used Android phones. If you truly think the majority of third-party Apps (ie. not made by Google) in Market/Play are up to the The App Store standards you truly are delusional.
I personally don't see supporting App Developers with my money as "wasting". If you like working for free maybe you'd like to wash my car for me at no charge?

Thanks, PainToad. I was wondering why Android gets sub-par third-party apps. I should have know it's because the users are "cheapass", "dick", "hippy", "kiddy", "fanboys". And here I was thinking that third-party developers gravitate towards iOS because of it's 65% market share. Silly me!

Yes, in the same way Apple users are happy to waste their money on overpriced igadgets
-1 voteTrying again, PainToad as you are clearly much smarter than I. Obviously these statistics do not show a 65% market share for iOS vs a 20% share for Android as of last month: http://www.netmarketshare.com/operating-system-market-share....

@johnno, another swing and a miss. Those stats are for mobile browsing, not device market share (ie. people who can buy apps). As of May Android had 50.9% compared to 31.9%.
It's long been know iOS users browse more even though their are actually more Android devices out there, I suggest further evidence Android users are cheap as they don't want to pay for data either.
Maybe third times a charm?

I find this confusing. Does this include Android? When I go to the app on Google Play it is free: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.rovio.angr...
Is it always free? Or just today? Downloaded anyway haha
superforever on 06/07/2012 - 10:18 ¶Because you don't want to pay for it. I have the seasons version before but I think it is the ads support version.

maverickjohn on 06/07/2012 - 19:22 ¶Lol, well done.
Great deal, poor game. good while its on offer, but i would never buy it. Heaps more enjoyable games. And to the jackass who proclaims android users are cheapasses. I have spent more money on apps on my android device, than i have on my apple devices. The worst thing a member can do is stereotype part of the community. You got negged by most of us because you are shallow and without knowledge.

lordezekiel on 06/07/2012 - 23:53 ¶Thanks, was just thinking about getting the HD version today - good timing!
