    If i buy ARMAII:OA for $15 can i put the key in to steam?

    So you need ARMAII and ARMAII:OA for DayZ so how do you get ARMAII for free?

      It is a lower quality version of Arma 2 apparently. Never tried it so can't say for sure.

      No, only ARMA2 Combined Operations has a Steam activate-able key. But GMG doesn't seem to sell it.

      I bought ARMAII:OA from GMG to play DayZ. I followed this (http://kodabar.blogspot.com.au/2012/05/how-to-install-dayz-w...), and I've been happily getting killed ever since, twice by stairs… sigh.

      Precisely; I downloaded ARMAII Free from steam, downloaded ARMAII:OA from GMG, and followed the steps on that site. "DayZ uses the game map (Chernarus) from ArmA 2 and the game engine from Operation Arrowhead, so you need both."

    Just managed to get Arma 2 Op Arrowhead for $7 using this code, a $2 credit (obtained because they had a 10% off voucher for Arma2:OA that somehow expired early which I submitted a ticket about, thankyou GMG!) and trading in a couple of free games they had given out.

    Not a bad deal at all, especially since I got ARMA2 originally for free when GMG started from some sunday mail. Glad I waited that extra day since I was going to buy it at 10% off! :-)

    Gotta Love GreenManGaming and their giveaways that turn tradeable.

    Oh and yes you can use the free ARMA2 with a retail copy of Operation Arrowhead to play DayZ some of the textures are slightly lower quality but its still more than playable.

      This is a non steam version of Arma 2 OP, I'm not 100% sure about the steam Free ARMA2 (didn't know there was one) but you can get the non steam free ARMA2 easily enough and use it with ARMA2:OP to play DayZ.

    Excellent, thanks. Just bought Endless Space for $22.5, great price for a new game with such good reviews, it was about time a new 4X was released since Galactic Civ 2!
    Probably will never find the time to play it thought :(
