    Two weeks ago there was a special, $699 and I almost bought that. I thought I missed out and was kicking myself. But now I'd be kicking myself a lot harder if I actually went ahead with it.

    I speculate the price floor for this phone will be $550 shipped.

      I just got trolled by my 65 year old dad the other day.

      He said "I was thinking of getting a s3 for you but mum's contract is only expiring in a November. Guess what? I just bought a blue s3 for myself." Accompanied by photos.

      How do you get trolled by your un-tech savvy dad who doesn't even know how to backup or install wares on his old samsung galaxy? :/

      I don't want to have to whip out my laptop and the usb modem every time I need to send an email on the go.

      The only thing I'd rate your phone to a smartphone better in terms of would be the godly battery life.. not that it requires much to power a brick.

        I reckon battery life on smart phones will increase amazingly in the next 3 years. They are playing with hydrogen at the moment. I guess it just depends on whether you are willing to risk a long lasting explosive battery. :P

      Probably late this year/early next year. The thing is you'll only be able to use it in the city on Telstra. (Optus may have some availability soon)
