glowstix047 on 11/07/2012 - 20:11 ¶How do we click and collect? Just seems to show option to see which store has stock…
+1 voteWould be a nice deal if there would be availability - they've been sold out for weeks despite their website showing availability. Dicksmith staff send me recently all over Sydney chasing one (when it was still $29). Their computer kept telling them they had availability when really there wan't any. I wasted an afternoon on that. In North Sydney they searched their storage room for 20 min because "according to the computer" there must be a purple one somewhere…" Well it wan't. Good luck.
+2 votesYou are talking about Sydney?
For example 3500 (Mildura,VIC) is the only other post code I tried other than my own, shows in stock and you can click and collect with the purple one. I'm not supprised if someone went all over Sydney buying them to try and resell them on eBay or whatever, sorry for you wasing your own time and your bad luck.
Maybe just call the stores next time?

+1 voteMy daughter is in high school, she has had her's for 6 months and still loves it. She chooses this over the ipad for reading! Battery is great, they display all major formats, even movies.. we put an 8GB MicroSD in it and it's pretty damn great for a cheapie.
Pity little stock. Broadway and Bondi in Sydney apparently have 'low stock'.

+3 votesAgree it's harsh to neg this because YOUR closest store didn't have stock… there were some in this post able to click and collect… I think this is as valid as any other limited stock deal.
FYI in VIC - Camberwell, Melbourne Strand show low stock - they have none. Camberwell sold their last one this morning, and Strand have ONE but they say it's badly broken. I don't think any more showed up as low stock around CBD… maybe vic gardens, but I cbf going back to check, too hard to get there from where I am on a public transport day :-D
Good luck to everyone else, there might be a few left in the wild.
+1 voterandomdude on 12/07/2012 - 09:52 ¶"Camberwell sold their last one this morning"
That was me Ozbargaining the display model while everyone was calling up.
All is fair in love and ozbargain :) sorry guys
cardiology on 12/07/2012 - 09:39 ¶Got 1 yesterday at Warriewood reserved, will need to wait for their email/SMS confirmation today to see if they really honour the online "click and collect".
+8 votesPeople who neg a deal ONLY because they couldn't get one / their preferred store was out of stock are NOT ONLY morons but you're violating the official OzB voting rules ….not to mention the basic spirit of at the very core of Ozbargain.
Technically all votes like these should be reported and removed, you're idiots - stop acting like spoilt brats who throw a tantrum as you can't get something and others did.
Jesus, the OP finds a great deal - BUT WAIT, whats he meant to do make sure there's stock in every store around the country BeFORE he posts it back so clowns like you won't possibly miss out????
The simple and IRREFUTABLE truth is it must have been a GREAT DEAL as you saw his post and scurried of looking for it!!!!! Not to mention chucked a nana when you missed out.
Nice posting OP, sorry about the idiots (aren't we all!!!).

Nikko,
I'm sure a lot of people use the voting system to express their personal (and therefore of course objective) perspective of a deal. It's right, this isn't exactly how the voting system here is intended and I believe some are just unaware of the "when to vote negative" guidelines and the impact of a neg vote on the poster.
But in all respect, Nick, calling them "Idiots", "Morons" and "spoilt brats" is a bit harsh.
Agree calling them names just reaches their level, but again like others who misuse the vote system, as you said, they are also expressing a personal point of view.
But the community can change this by voting down their negative comment. 6 down votes remove a negative vote.
The 6th voter gets the satisfaction of seeing this
You + community have revoked the -1 vote from "XXXXX" on this deal
So rather than bitch about it, use the system to get the message across.

i have my purple one with me. its much better than i thought. it comes with:
purple PU leather case
headphones
usb charger cable so it can be charged from a computer
comes with 100 books pre loaded
BEST PART: plays video files.
Screen quality looks ok - not to bad at all.
+1 votearrogant84 on 12/07/2012 - 13:27 ¶Hi Guys, can you please show me how to click&collect?
when i check out, it push me to find nearest store, but when i found store with low stock, i don't know how to do next.
ozbargainn on 12/07/2012 - 15:00 ¶Went to Box-Hill this morning… Someone grabbed the ONLY LAST one just before me! = = Damnnnn
For those who really want it…. I had three three confirmation pick-up sms for this item which is too far away from my house..
1 item in Albury (somewhere on the border of NSW & Vic )
2 items in Mt Gambier Store (somewhere near the border of SA & Vic )
Just drop me a msg and Iwill give the order confirmation number to you
ozbargainn on 12/07/2012 - 15:03 ¶If someone is willing to pick-up in Mt Gambier Store, maybe we can get one each. can u pick-up one and send it to me please??? I will pay you $5 + the postage

arrogant84 on 12/07/2012 - 15:19 ¶Thanks a lot
But when i check out, it push me to find nearest store, but when i found store with low stock, i don't know how to do next.
ozbargainn on 12/07/2012 - 15:23 ¶"click & collect" is just a stupid way to save calling fees… I prefer to use it after business hours
u finished the order in website, got a e-mail with confirmation code.
(this is just a confirmation u made a request only)u need to wait for 1-2 business days, the store will send you a email/sms to pickup instore (there may hv 50-50 chances you will not get any emails/sms although u did the 1st step)
Therefore, I prefer contact through phone and ask the staff to hold the item if there are stocks available for """DAYTIME"""
arrogant84 on 12/07/2012 - 15:46 ¶But when i check out, it push me to find nearest store, but when i found store with low stock, i don't know how to do next
+1 voteActually its a great way for employees to not get tied up with angry phone calls and serve customers who are actually in the store. I work in retail, i know the drill. "What you don't have stock, why?, how dare you not have stock, where am I supposed to get stock?, thats too far away, how dare you not have stock". Sigh. What the hell am I expected to do, just will stock into existence on the spot?
cardiology on 12/07/2012 - 19:22 ¶Just collected mine from Warriewood, nice product! At $5, no complaint at all.
ozbargainn on 12/07/2012 - 19:55 ¶Seriously…. anyone live near Albury & Mt Gambier ?? My birthday is in the coming week, expecting to buy it as birthday gift for myself :(

Doesn't look like there's any stock in Brisbane.
