-1 voteThanks JLove, we're in the process of adding videos to the site in the coming weeks to give customers a better opportunity to judge, however these items are actually plated and not made with solid gold, but the expense with these items always lies with the crystals, again to see the difference all you have to do is check our very own "Under $10" page http://www.sparkly.com.au/clearance/under-10, those are cubic zirconias. If we were trying to rip people off .. why would we have an Under $10 page?

To be honest, I think Im more likely to find a bargain from local stores like Zamels and Shiels.
Ive bought Cubic Zirconia 925 silver studs from Shiels for $5 before.
A tip for your website - your item description is pretty much just useless sales talk, does not specify what kind of material it is and whether its hypo-allergenic. Even Diva costume jewellery provides more information.
That's precisely my point JLove, you can find cubic zirconia for under $10 anywhere including Prouds, Bevilles and our own site, however genuine Austrian Swarovski ELEMENTS crystals for under $10, I highly doubt it .. That exactly was the point I was trying to make above,
-1 voteI take that feedback on board, it's just getting very challenging on this site, once you try to make an exclusive bargain then straight away you're put on the defensive - anyway you're right and I do apologize if i've offended you or anybody else whose reading this page.
The ironic thing is that selling the same deal for double or even triple the price with a daily deal site would be a lot easier with happier customers .. I just don't get it, all we're trying to do is pass on the savings.

The unfair thing is that many visitors to the website came and checked the cashe to see if we had jacked up the prices just for this deal ( and found that we didn't ) and checked if we have an abn ( which we do ) and if were located in Sydney ( which we are ) yet they don't post anything positive .. It seems that it's only worth posting if it's a negative comment
+2 votesi dont post bargains anymore for that exact reason
you and many others….
I personally haven't posted any for over a year….. It's just not worth it.
What was once a supportive helpful community has become the home of the troll, with the red neg, (once a useful tool, now an irrelevance), as the weapon of choice.
-1 voteHi Ilsan, thanks for your interest, but I'm afraid were an online business only, its the only way we can offer these items at such a cheap price,
if you wish to see the quality you may place an order, and if for any reason you wish to return we'll process an immediate refund no questions asked (minus the cost of shipping) and once you return the items to us.

I certainly understand and respect your way of thinking, but I'm afraid that's the entire basis of online shopping, that's why buying a watch from Gregory for example would be 10 times the cost of the same genuine watch from eBay .. Brick and mortar have to offload all the overheads ( rent, bills, extra staff) on to the end customer.
I also want to take the time and thank you for your calm and rational response
Cheers mate

Yes, your logic is fine, but I can try that watch at Gregory before I put the order online, just like we try on branded shoes, jeans, etc before we go online looking for a bargain.
In your case, this is not a option as this particular jewellery is not on show anywhere else.
Thanks

I fully agree with you, that is the challenge with unknown branded products I'm afraid .. But if you were in our position, what would you be able to do other than offer a full refund no questions asked if your customer wants to "try"? I'm honestly not trying to be smart or sarcastic btw

In your position, I would not be advertising a $229 necklace for $29 as it sounds Suss..
Put yourself in the shoes of the Buyer.I am sure you are genuine and the item is 100% as described but probabilities of a genuine sale stack up against you.
This is my opinion only.
+1 voteI guess it's the mentality of many of us, that more expensive is more trustworthy, therefore the $5,000 watch works better than the $200 watch somehow, from the responses I gather that several members here would've felt "better" about this set if it was offered more expensively.
But with cheaper work forces things are simply getting cheaper than they were decades ago, look at children's toys today and their prices and compare them to the toys 20 or 30 years ago.
Mate, I get your point.
You show me the proof of authenticity that this is Swarovski crystals and you have yourself a sale as its a bargain.
Which gives me a very good business idea I dont have time for:
A Business that authenticates what is sold online or Money back..
What do you guys say?

I normally don't do this but I'm happy to make an exception for you, if you pm us or email us at service@sparkly.com.au I'll send you documentation from Swarovski ELEMENTS .. Just to be very clear though, Swarovski is separate from Swarovski ELEMENTS, though they belong to the same holding company, ELEMENTS simply manufactures the actual crystals, jewelry designers buy in bulk and design their own creations using metal or fabric around the crystals, that's why these - while still genuine - are a lot cheaper than say figurines from a Swarovski shop, as they charge a huge premium for the design and exclusivity ( a max of 10,000 pieces worldwide are made of each design, sometimes far less) all this info can be verified at Swarovski.com under the FAQ section
+1 voteHi Ilsan
I really am trying to be as helpful as possible but again I feel I'm forced into defending my business in ways that are not the norm, I don't recall ever entering a website or a physical store where I ask the keepers for proof ..I'm afraid that posting a bargain on this site was a terrible mistake and been a waste of my time and efforts so Im sorry but I will unsubscribe from this thread and leave comments unanswered, I'm sorry that I tried to give this community a bargain however most have considered it sub standard
The reason why I didn't post the documents here is that really I don't need my credentials in the public domain like that and yet still I'm sure others will claim that they are forged
With all due respect I do believe I've provided enough information and you are free to go ahead with this or not

I'm sorry, looks like junk. The "Discount" says it all
