expired Intel Series 330 240GB SSD 2.5" SATA MLC DRIVE - USD $175.25 (Shipped from B&H)
This was posted 10 months 1 day ago, and might be an out-dated deal
Seems like a good price for a 240GB Intel drive, ~$170 after currency conversion
Appears to have the same specs as the lower capacity drives i.e.
25nm MLC NAND Flash memory chips
SATA 6.0 Gbps interface
SandForce SF-2281 controller
Read and write speeds of up to 500MB/s and 450MB/s
Please note that there is a waiting period though.
(This is a special order item. Est. arrival at B&H is 7-14 days (subject to availability). Your order will be charged at the time of shipment.)

It wasn't that long go that USB sticks came screaming down in price over a 2-3 year period. I bought the 256mb, 512mb, 1gb, 4gb, 8gb, etc, etc, as they came down in price.
This time, i'm holding on baby :) I have to think carefully every time I see another SSD posting - but i'm unlikely to jump in before they are about the same as the ATA drive prices currently are.

+1 voteThe Intel 330 180GB version is slightly better than the M4 256GB version in most of the relevant benchies, so this 240GB 330 should be a bit better still.
http://www.anandtech.com/bench/Product/589?vs=355&i=260.261....So the 330 for $30 cheaper is a bit of a no brainer I reckon.
And I personally wouldn't bother with the sandisk at these kind of prices. Its virtually the same price as the M4 which is a popular well proven SSD, unlike the sandisk.

Have you been to Tokyo or Osaka? They have some ENORMOUS camera stores in Japan. Multi-stories, each level dedicated to specific item/accessory. I've never been to a B&H, but can't image them being bigger than Japanese camera stores! Unfortunately prices aren't that great in Japan.

Just curious as to why this http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/796923-REG/Intel_SSDSA... product is more expensive?
Also, how come there's no description or overview etc for this product?
Thanks.
sal_chi_cha on 24/07/2012 - 17:09 ¶That's what I'd like to know. Could be something to do with "MLC" but I'm not sure what that means. Quite a big price difference, isn't it?

Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo……
Dear Stumo
You placed an order recently for the Intel SER 330 240GB SSD 2.5" SATA MLC Drive (B&H #IN330240 Mfr #SSDSC2CT240A3K5). This is a new product whose price and availability have not yet been determined, and it was regretfully posted to our website in error. We delayed sending this notification while we tried doing our best to arrange receipt of this item, but Intel has confirmed that we will not receive this item in time to fill your order, and we apologize for both the delay and the error.
As we are unable to fulfill your order at this time, we will cancel your order soon. If you paid via credit card, your credit card was not charged for this transaction, and no refund will be necessary. Your payment via Paypal or Bill Me Later will be credited back to your account.
We apologize for your inconvenience, and we thank you for your continued patronage.

A couple of points…
If this was listed "in error", then why was it kept on their website for over 2 days.
My CC has been charged because it's an international order, does this mean they are going to ignore that oversight? Great, Now I have to chase them up manually as the above email was a robot email address.
Great customer service huh.

Agreed. I've sent them the following email…
I got your email about your "error" in selling this product. But the email is not clear.
My credit card has been charged. This is an international order and according to your site my card gets charged immediately.
Because it's an international order, my cc company charges an exchange rate margin on both sides of this charge/refund transaction. This leaves me out of pocket by about $15 through no fault of my own.
I also missed out on the crucial m4 deal you ran at the same time as this "error" deal, a deal that was in "error" for well over 2 days on your site I might add.
To say I'm unhappy with this situation is an understatement. Please advise what will happen with this process as of now.

Yeah I got a reply, they basically just gave me the finger.
I've come close to buying from them a few times over the years, but never actually bought, and I guess I never will now.
I mean they didn't even offer me a deal on the M4 that I missed out on because of this. Very poor form.
