Brainwavz Beta with In-Line Microphone earphones are down to $17.00.
I've been using them and I can vouch for the sound quality for the price range. Very balanced. The call answer/pause/play button works well (tested with Iphone 4 and HTC One X).

Been looking for a decent priced pair to replace my fraying pair but just wanted to confirm - is the picture wrong as it shows two lines instead of 3 ?

      OK - yes, 3 lines on the jack indicates it has mic input, 2 lines means no mic. Thx for checking.

      These earphones definitely punch above their weight in terms of sound quality. They sound better than my klipsch x1s and they are more comfortable with the comply foam tips. Have a look at the reviews, they are compared to $100 mark earphones in terms of sound quality in multiple reviews.

Yep good deal. The M3 earphone is also on sale at the moment - I can vouch for its great sound (bassy) + build quality - no complaints over the last yr I've used them. Will be getting an extra pair at the reduced price.
