Playbook OS 2.1 Being Released Soon and Provides Many Android Enhancements

Thats the one thing about these tablets thats going in their favour .. BB seems quiet committed to updating the OS across all the tablets - OK it was a bit iffy to start with but its getting there. Unlike a lot of cheaper andriods that don't get updated by the manufacturer.

I'd wait for HP touch pad prices before I touch anything from Rim

But with decreasing sales cash will burn out very quickly!

If you want to buy it direct from Blackberry it's still $579 - http://au.shopblackberry.com/Product/BlackBerry-PlayBook/PRD... - can't imagine they sell too many at that price though.

No? I thought it runs everything from Android Market?
EDIT: This things has pretty good reviews http://www.amazon.com/Blackberry-Playbook-7-Inch-Tablet-16GB...

From amazon product description :
Is it true that the BlackBerry PlayBook will support Android apps on the PlayBook?
RIM has announced that it will launch an "app player" that provides an application run-time environment for Android v2.3 apps. This new app player will allow you to download Android apps from BlackBerry App World and run them on your BlackBerry PlayBook. The new app players for the BlackBerry PlayBook are expected to be available from BlackBerry App World in the summer of 2011.
