mod - REMINDER
- Check the actual plan being offered against what you are currently getting
- Remember to use the latest increased prices when doing the sums for your existing bill
added to title that this is for TruEnergy
Just received an email a few days ago from The Big Switch. They are offering 18.5% discount on electricty which i think is a pretty good deal for the family. Also if you're from Victoria you save 18.5% compared to other that I've seen that is only 16.5%
Hope this helps you guys out. Cheers

TRUenergy may vary your tariff and/or pay on time discount by providing you with written notice. This is the only thing that worries me. They could easily raise the tariff and/or decrease the pay on time discount at anytime during the 3 year contract. The one consolation is that the $22 exit fee (per service) is reasonable.
Note this offer is also available to existing tru energy customers.

Switchwise offer for tru energy electricity and gas:
Prompt Payment Discount: 13% discount on every bill you pay on time (included in cost & savings figures shown above)
Standard Discount: 3% discount on your charges (included in cost & savings figures shown above)Better deal on gas at least.

Just keep in mind some companies havent realized their price increases (carbon price) yet. AGL springs to mind.
So make sure you call and get the new rates from your current company to compare apples with apples. Don't bother looking at your last bill as it will show pre-july old pricing.

This is strange, they give a very cheap rate for me but it doesn't say what the balance is. I'm in the United area. Screenshot: http://screensnapr.com/e/uUJ5VL.jpg
