WARNING!

Of course, these are modified-squarewave (not Sine-Wave!) inverters and can damage some appliances.

Double-check they are suitable for your application, or there will be tears!

Thanks Horizon for the constant warnings on these. Its appreciated just in case I feel inclined to buy one.

Easy and potentially expensive mistake to make, for people who don’t know any better - been there, done that.

If they sell them, I’d rather see people buy the correct type of inverter they need, even if it’s a bit more money.

I understand, but an 1500 Watt Pure Sine is $1,046. That is a huge difference.

Whilst I feel for the expensive mistake you have made in the past, I would hate for a customer to make the mistake of buying a pure sine wave inverter for $800 more, just to run something that would be fine on the modified square.

As I said, if your unsure, or have doubts give the shop a call, when I purchased mine they were VERY helpful and helped me make the right choice. I’ve had mine for 2 months now and it’s worked a dream with everything I use it for.

The modified square wave inverter suits most appliances just fine. Unless your using lab/medical equipment, it wont matter too much. Having said that, give PerformanceShop a call, they have excellent phone support. 1300 799 455, local call Australia Wide.

You could even try haggling (no idea what they’d say).
