Can I offer one thought for your website - even though it's great as is. One thing I really like about asos - although their stuff kinda sucks - is the size & fit info they have.
E.g. SIZE & FIT
Model's height: 6'2”/188 cm
Model is wearing: Size MediumI find this very handy.

http://www.hallensteins.com/product?i=7768176&v=7768257
Its listed at $17.50 but comes up in the cart as $32 :|
same here.. listed 35 but 52 checkout

+1 voteHi Dave,
I bought a Wool Melton jacket (size large, based on my chest size of 42 inches). But, it is a little big.
How can I get it exchanged for medium size? Please let me know.
Can you please let us know, whether all jackets are of the same fit? (Which ones are slim fit, which ones are normal fit? or relaxed fit?)
This will allow us to make better buying decisions.
Thanks
+2 votesSorry missed the exchange part - fire us an email to web.delivery@hallensteins.co.nz and we'll send you a returns form. We won't do an exchange - just a refund so best to just place a second order for the jacket that you're after.

Be aware that returns for Australia seems to have gotten harder.
The distribution warehouse for returns that used to be in Sydney seems to have disappeared off their website. That or i'm very confused.
So yes, returns will now have to be shipped to NZ, goodbye savings in parcel shipping costs.

Hey there,
We had a few teething issues with our Australian DC, however we're working through those and we're still offering this service. However, we now ask that people email us at web.delivery@hallensteins.co.nz with the order number and we will send you a returns form to fill in to include with your returns.
Cheers!
+1 voteOP, the stuff on your website looks great for the price, but I agree with the others here - the main thing holding us back is that we don't know whether it'd fit properly. Even though you have a good returns policy, there's always the hassle with sending it back etc - it's better to buy it properly on the first go.
It'd be great if the sizing could be more accurate. This would save you guys money from resending etc.
+1 voteHey there,
We have a returns address in Australia so it is just a local courier cost. To return an item, send an email to web.delivery@hallensteins.co.nz and we'll send you a returns form.
Cheers!
bigosmallo on 30/07/2012 - 12:55 ¶Sizing is a worry but $34 AUD for 5 items shipped is too damn cheap to pass up.
bigosmallo on 30/07/2012 - 13:06 ¶3 T-Shirts, a pair of sunnies and a hoodie.
Was tempted to get some jeans or chinos but I already have plenty and I didn't want to take the gamble with that much money.

Hey there, fire us an email to web.delivery@hallensteins.co.nz and we'll send you a returns form
Cheers!
+2 votesI received two jumpers from these guys. Top kit, very happy with my purchases, though one of them is slightly easier on the skin than the other due to the wool and wool mix. Quality of garment is good, wool quality is.. well excellent as it should be for wool products.
Size wise, I'm 168cm tall, 32" jeans and Small is a good size for me. If taller, bigger then go a size up.
+1 voteFunnily enough I received my first Hallensteins order in the mail this morning, purchased through the last ozbargain posting. I'm very happy with the quality (merino cardigan) and the fit. Inside the package was a an envelope with some promotional material (apparently you can get 20% off your next order by signing up for their newsletter, not sure if there's a $50 minimum spend on that) and returns instructions.
Returns are listed as being to an Auckland address or one of their stores if you're in kiwiland, for a full refund or exchange for 'any style, size or colour that you may prefer'. There's a NZ freecall number and an email contact for returns.
Price vs quality is really good. Definitely a bargain.
+2 votesHey everyone - apologies for the late reply.
Our Australian returns address is still available - however we've had a few minor issues that we have been ironing out - there is quite a bit more paperwork for customs than originally anticipated.
For all returns, you can still send them to our Australian DC. Please email web.delivery@hallensteins.co.nz with your order number and we will send you a returns form and the address for the distribution centre.
This means that returns will only cost you a local courier, rather than an international one.

Hmm I would seriously buy a suit if http://www.hallensteins.com/product/Montevideo-Slim-Suit-Tro... came in 77 or 72? Any chance of finding one that small or being able to substitute it with a similar style?

how much would it cost to ship a shirt back to ur Aust DC for return?
my girlfriend order a few items from Hallensteins. All small, but it seems like your shirts are much larger than your tee shirts, its massive.
I'm not sure if the cost of returning a $15nzd shirt is worth it the postal cost.

I've bought quite a few items from them over the last few weeks in preparation for a chilly trip to Canada. Very happy with the quality, especially the merino jumpers & the Scott Base range of adventure wear.
A little annoying to see things now in the clearance that I paid much more for only a week ago but that happens with any retailer.I run somewhere beteen an L & XL size usually, prefer tops to not be too tight but also don't want them to look like I'm revisiting my 90's rapper days either.
The merino seems to be smaller in fit & XL fits me perfectly whereas a Scott Base jacket & fleece jumper in XL that arrived today are a quite a lot larger & I'll have to exchange. A XL polo (slim fit) is probably a little too large in XL as well. Not sure if that helps anyone….Anyway, will see how the exchange process goes but so far I highly recommend them & find the clothing to be excellent quality/value.
revolushenary on 30/07/2012 - 16:06 ¶Can anyone clarify is this 20% off for $50 spent advertised price or $50 spent after the discount

Hey there, we're really sorry about this - please fire us an email to web.admin@hallensteins.com and we'll do everything we can to help.
christopher8 on 30/07/2012 - 19:29 ¶Hey Rep:
I'm interested in the Fonsie leather jacket.
I'm about 177cm, chest 95cm and waist 80cm. Should I go for the small or medium?
Cheers
bottomcoughs on 30/07/2012 - 22:08 ¶I reckon Small. I live in NZ and try on a lot of their clothes :)

leetguy101 on 31/07/2012 - 01:53 ¶You guys helped my brother out when he bought a size too large for him, plus, the jacket he bought looks good, I'll give some stuff a go.
+3 voteshey there, apologies for the delay.
With our first lot of orders that we had through Ozbargain we had a couple of issues with our delivery system. We were using NZ Post which linked with Australian Post, and while the majority of the orders were delivered on time, there is a minority which we've had a few issues with. We're really sorry about this.
We've just changed our delivery method to DHL as of Yesterday - so orders that are dispatched today should arrive within around 48 hours if you're in one of the main centres, and 72 hours if you're outside of these areas.
Fire us an email to web.delivery@hallensteins.co.nz and we'll see what we can do to help track down your order.
+1 votebigosmallo on 31/07/2012 - 12:42 ¶Geeze, 48 hours from NZ? Mine was dispatched this morning so it'd be fantastic if true.
-1 votebigosmallo on 31/07/2012 - 17:16 ¶No worries, I'll write up a comment here when it arrives.

I wasn't going to place another order so soon after the last one but 2x merino jumpers and 2x long sleeve tees including delivery for $80 AUD was far too good to pass up. Ordered Monday night, sitting on my desk when I came into the office this morning (wednesday), delivered via DHL. Prices, delivery and responsiveness in this thread are all top notch. Keep it up rep.
Jonaseymour on 01/08/2012 - 11:07 ¶Hey Rep. My items were marked as posted yesterday morning and they arrived in Brisbane today. Can't get much better service than that!
Thanks again!
Shitforbrains on 01/08/2012 - 01:37 ¶Hullo Mr Hallenstein,
Are you still able to send an item using the Post? DHL will not deliver to my P.O. box or parcel locker.
+2 votesPlaced an order for about $300.00 worth of goodies - twice in this month! Cant beat a pair of trousers and a suit jacket for $115.00AU.
Dear representatives of Hallensteins - you guys provide an excellent service, coupled with awesome deals, good quality products and a very manueverable website, this is simply awesome. Happy customer yapping away…Order#95480 - please feel free to add in anymore discounts (or send a complimentary gift…CMON i know you guys can do it!!!!) but seriously this deal is mega-awesome.

Damn DRESS BELT - knew i forgot something :(
Ah well free shipping :D
And my god its hard to resist their sales esp when factoring in currency exchange - nice change to converting from pounds!
:S spent way too much but least its a whole new work wardrobe with a couple jeans, jackets and leather belts thrown in for 500. Glad i had resisted all those stocktake 'sales'.
Very impressed with these guys and hope they keep the extra discounts coming periodically for their sake - because I know I wont be able to resist an extra % off :S
bigosmallo on 01/08/2012 - 16:34 ¶Got my package 2 minutes ago.
Not even 32 hours since I ordered!
Super impressed with the quality for the price, will be ordering again in the future.
bigosmallo on 01/08/2012 - 21:01 ¶By ordered I meant since it was despatched. My bad, can't edit my post anymore.
Shitforbrains on 01/08/2012 - 16:46 ¶Hullo Mr Hallenstein,
Are you still able to send an item using NZ Post? DHL will not deliver to my P.O. box or parcel locker. I'd be willing to pay a few dollars extra for registered post if it is possible

I finished the checkout process as NZ time ticked over to 02/08 and it doesn't seem to accept the code any more. I thought the code would remain valid till the end of 02/08. Well I put an order through anyway without the discount code and sent them an email. Hopefully they can still apply the discount code.

I ordered the $27.00 Skinny Jeans, broke my NZ purchase vaginity as I've never purchased from NZ but one of the best transactions I've made. Super fast postage, great quality jeans.
