Price and Vendor on title.

not a price error
greenboxit has the same pricehttp://www.greenboxit.com.au/index.php?cPath=20667_1083_9218...

mangoburger on 30/07/2012 - 16:16 ¶So pricing error from 2 vendors? I was thinking maybe a USB 3.0 model is replacing this one so they clear out USB 2.0 stock cheaper.
superforever on 30/07/2012 - 16:18 ¶Yeah I don't understand even a 1920x1080 LED monitor cost more than that.
I think may be the supplier having a price error and their system automatically pick the wrong price.
mangoburger on 30/07/2012 - 16:22 ¶I will see if they honour their advertised price. I agree it looks too cheap, perfect fit for OzBargain!

I'm just finding it hard to believe the they can sell a samsung 1440p for that low. The cheapest on the market (well until now) were the shimian/catleap/yamakasi ips monitors. Mind you they were barebones with rejected monitors made by LG that apple didn't want for their cinema displays. These were about $250us + $90 expedited shipping from korea.
Now these are quality samsungs that WILL come with warranty for cheaper?
Mind blown.
shalashaska on 30/07/2012 - 16:22 ¶FYI, you can get a 27 inch at 1140 with IPS panel for sub $300

The reviews on whirlpool and overclockers are quite favourable as well

They even petitioned a manufacturer to produce a special panel version to allow 100+ mhz

superforever on 30/07/2012 - 16:24 ¶But not Samsung Professional range.

Also a lot more expensive from US.

Exactly, I bought the first gen crossovers (oc'd to 90Hz) for $330 about 5-7 months ago. With these you have to play russian roulette with backlight bleeding and dead pixels. If you have issues you're either stuck with the pixels or spend $100 send it back to korea.
These samsungs are cheaper with a better local warranty??????
As far as i know PLS is somewhere in between a VA panel and an IPS. Better motion reproduction but not as good colour accuracy. Viewing angles are similar i believe.
Really mind blown right now.

Definitely worth it IMO.
Just gotta ask yourself if you can live with a dead pixel or two, considering you just bought a ~$800 for $330. I have seen a dead pixel in one of these and it really isnt anything to worry about. Pixel density is extremely high, you wont see dead pixels unless you're about 10-20cm from the screen. At normal viewing it won't be visible, specs of dusts really stand out more.

Here's a quick search on eBay:

Those 27" IPS monitors from Korea actually caused quite a bit of stir on the web last couple of days. For example this article from Jeff Atwood (ex-StackOverflow):

superforever on 30/07/2012 - 16:16 ¶The S27A850TSK from our supplier is almost $700.
Unless there is a big difference on "TSK" mean.

GreenboxIT have "corrected" their price as well

mangoburger on 30/07/2012 - 16:32 ¶Same. I wonder what happens now since I ordered in good faith and have printout of the order?
shalashaska on 30/07/2012 - 16:35 ¶http://nscom.com.au/product_info.php?cPath=20667_1083_32422&...
still $305 here
shipping is bad if you're not on the East coast though
superforever on 30/07/2012 - 16:48 ¶You can try but I don't think such a small shop will honor it.
They have a few shops at Sydney North.
mangoburger on 30/07/2012 - 16:55 ¶They ship to Melbourne Metro for $22.50 Thanks shalashaska, will try them as well

superforever on 30/07/2012 - 17:02 ¶They have a shop near my office but they are only a small corner computer shop.
Let us know how you go.
I have just ordered one payment on pick up and let see.
superforever on 31/07/2012 - 11:45 ¶Just got this reply, I think is because of price error instead of stock availability :p
