now, I haven't ordered from Dealextrme in over 12 months (it's gotten sort of lame/expensive)
when I click on the order number/hyperlink it takes me to -
http://my.dx.com/MyOrders/OrderDetail/120127001058723959
is this just spam from DX?
Is Dx.com the same as dealextreme.com
the DX.com order number is way longer than a dealextreme.com order number.
I can't recall ever buying from DX.com this year.
I have no skills to investigate internety-wise.
dodgy or spam?
Comments

DX.com IS DealExtreme (some blog post from last year on how they sold DX.com to DealExtreme).
I also had something like that emailed to me a few weeks ago. It turns out that I did ordered something from DealExtreme. However the item is so trivial and their postage is pathetically slow I almost forgot that I've ordered from them. By the time I received the email it's already one month down the track…
AlexDealExtreme on 18/12/2012 - 12:38 ¶hi i'm from DX,
yes Dealextreme is now DX.com. Probably you received this notice as the previous system migrates to the new order system. We currently have an all new "AU Direct" delivery system delivering from 5-7 days to most Australian States.

AlexDealExtreme on 19/12/2012 - 15:39 ¶Hay Alex, good name! If you're looking to buy anything from DX, need any help or more info., just let me know and I'll help wherever I can… Yes DX has been slow to deliver in the past but now there is a new "AU Direct" 5-7 day delivery service for most States in Australia (check dx site for fast delivery States), so it shouldn't be an issue any more. :)
Mangoslushie on 19/12/2012 - 19:07 ¶Hi Alex,
I seem to have the same issue as those guys. Except I put through my order a little under 3 weeks ago. If you could let me know the status of 121202001017960383, it would be much appreciated.
AlexDealExtreme on 15/01/2013 - 11:42 ¶Hi everyone,
sorry 4 the late reply, I have been busy and have just this week managed to return to this site:-
So, if anyone has ordered from the main DX.com page, EU, US or Worldwide options, then it would take a while to arrive.
If you go directly to dx.com/direct/au and choose an item from there, which states AU in the shipping option, then you'll receive your item in 5-7 working days, as long as you are in either NSW, Queensland, Victoria, South Australia or Tasmania.
The site is a little confusing at the moment, though DX are trying to make it easier to navigate.
Thanks and sorry 4 the late reply!
AlexDealExtreme on 16/01/2013 - 11:12 ¶Also if anyone has an issue with delivery pls go to this link https://cs.dx.com/ticket/index thanks

Its as legit as Dealextreme can be. DX.com is definatly their domain, and I have recieved similar emails before. They had a realllllllllly bad system meltdown last year - they now have a new system (with new order numbers), but your order was probably stuck in the system somewhere. If you have recieved everything you ordered i wouldnt worry about it.
