This was posted 10 months 10 days ago, and might be an out-dated deal
First post. Saw this offer yesterday and thought it would be on ozbargain already but could not find it. Created an account to post it. Anyways there is still stock available and the price seems a steal to me so hopefully people who have been waiting like me can grab a copy.
Cheers

i am not 100% sure what this is about but the Chinese version mentioned in the title looks a bit odd to me. Normally they don't write that in Asian version games. Also the language mentioned is chinese so not sure if you can change the language or not.
Original Name 暗黑破壞神3
Release Date May 15, 2012
Language Chinese
Genre Action
Version Asia

I feel the game is good fun, if you just expect it to last 5-10 hours or so, like a normal game. The story and gameplay is decent and of a high quality. Just don't expect hundreds hours of fun and excitement. Playing through normal is good fun and nightmare is livable, but then the last 2 difficulties just feel like a horrible grind, where gameplay is balanced around you RNG farming for years (or paying tons of money on the RMAH).
Anyway, that's just my two cents as a former diablo fanboi, some other people still obviously love that grind.

+3 votesFair warning: The game is dead.
Even though Inferno is now doable for melee classes and my ping is a stable ~180-200ms without spiking (most Aussies are around 200-400ms); along with AH having tons of cheap, uber gear; the game is completely unsatisfying after you have hit Lvl 60 with one character.
The farming/AH browsing alone for Inferno Act III and IV consumes about 60% of your total play experience (casuals not included).
The Elite Mobs in Inferno quickly put me off this game. (Invulnerable Minions+Vortex = Migraine)RMAH I never touched so I can't comment; but the general consensus is that only now are prices started to become NORMAL.
It was fun while it lasted (albeit frustrating with the unannounced 5-hour long maintenance during Aussie prime-time every Fri or Sat) and even though Blizzard completely effed the launch and hasn't even put out PVP yet, I did enjoy co-oping for a few weeks.
But I reiterate, there's just no replay value in this game unless you're an obsessive stat-wh*re who likes the e-peen factor of having the highest DPS/resists/MF, etc…
If you're just getting into the game go with a Demon Hunter: most fun/most OP.

Personally I'm still enjoying it. I imagine 98% of people grabbing it at this point aren't 'die hard' Diablo fanatics anyway that will be completely put off by things such as a difficult inferno mode and that they can probably play through the campaign a few times and have fun doing so.

You are right, for the casuals out there just looking to sink a few half-hour blocks into D3 whenever they get some spare time, it's not a bad way to kill some time without having to "invest" anything into it, like say a full-on RPG that requires a bit of forethought and planning to get the most enjoyment out of it.
D3 you can just pick up whenever you like; the storyline is basically just there to point you in the direction of more loot and the click-fest controls are tailored for the lazy gamer, lol.
But honestly… how many times can you replay the exact same 4-5 hour campaign over and over and over again?
I think after sinking about +60 hours all up into D3 I can recite you most of Act I's cheesy, repetitive dialogue.

Agree on your experience.
I've also uninstalled the game after building a Wiz and Monk to 60. But I think the game is not meant to be an MMO where you would pay subscription fee that feeds the gamemaster to come out with creative challenges and thus replayability.I think for new comers, the worst thing is that you need to be connected to battle.net (i.e. active internet connection and working server). The server is often down for maintenance, which means you can't even single play. The lag factor is also quite annoying when you faces the tough enemies at interno mode.
If u can put up with it and watch Grey anatomy.. Go for it.

Classic Blizzard. That's just the tip of the iceberg though.
I remember when a massive, half-hour long lag spike on the US server took out several hundred hard-core characters at the exact same time. (For those who don't know hard-core characters/heroes are perma-death)
Blizzard refused to roll-back any accounts because well… they do not for any reason roll-back a hard-core account.
Seems fair. The player can really avoid dying in Inferno where every mob one shots you with 1000 ping, lol.
