expired Deals Direct 30% off Site-Wide 6AM-9AM Monday 13 August, $10 Capped Shipping 14 August
This was posted 9 months 13 days ago, and might be an out-dated deal
Due to the success of their last 30% off site-wide promotion 2 weeks ago at Olympics opening ceremony, Deals Direct is going to run another one — 6AM-9AM next Monday 13 August. Coupon code for the day would be FINISH30. Yup, it's 3 hours only and 30% site wide so you better start looking around now and "note down the price".
Some terms and conditions:
- Coupon not valid for purchase of gift vouchers or products on supermarketdeals.com.au
- Coupon valid once per email address
On Tuesday they have site-wide shipping cap at $10, with exclusions apply to bulky items for some post codes.
Yup I made a mistake posting a wrong promotion last time, and it's verified this time (at least as I've been told). Also DealsDirect are getting back to me some exclusive offers for OzBargainers — that would be towards later next week hopefully.
EDIT: Shhhhhh… Coupon code seems to be working already.
EDIT 2: DealsDirect has disabled the coupon code as of 4PM Friday. Hopefully it would be re-enabled again coming Monday.

BrockSamson on 10/08/2012 - 17:18 ¶Scotty, do you know if they intend to honour the purchases made before the code was disabled? (I am assuming/hope so).
revolushenary on 10/08/2012 - 17:23 ¶Do they bump up the prices? Any experience from last time's 30% off sale?

goofy456852 on 12/08/2012 - 08:25 ¶Can someone recommend a good tablet from dealsdirect?

alwayslook on 12/08/2012 - 15:19 ¶Appears this is the Bauhn AMID-971R which is what Aldi was selling in May for $250. I understand that this is refurbished, but with the 30% off it will be $150 (including delivery). Is this a good bargain if I am buying it for a 3 year old to play at home? It is tempting to get the Samsung 7.7 from dick smith for $270 but not really interested in the 7" products as they might be too small for 3 year old.
goofy456852 on 12/08/2012 - 21:56 ¶Thanks. So far I like this one from dinodirect http://au.dinodirect.com/9-7-tablet-pc-pc-android-4-0-tablet...

-1 voteOMG just then: http://www.dealsdirect.com.au/p/lenovo-thinkpad-10-1-16gb-bt... went out of stock… dodgy?
0ptus_Fail on 13/08/2012 - 05:52 ¶Sorry to hear that, I must have just managed to get one. Lucky that I tried to get it earlier than 6 am and the code worked.
I know how you feel, waking up early and then no cigar.
Maybe Shopping Express will fix up their Epic Hour debacle from last night and you can get one from there.

I spent too much on pc bits and pieces to think about a vacuum cleaner.
Bougth the samsung 750D 27" monitor a steal @ $357 and 2 Wd 2Tb mybooks for $210 and a few other bits and pieces $603 bucks lol.
So thanks Op "Scotty" for the deal and making my pocket $600 lighter lol

i'm thining of getting a HD aswell… How abt the Buffalo 2tb with $10 cheaper?

indbargainer on 13/08/2012 - 07:37 ¶has anyone noticed all the laptops that were at normal price(not the inflated ones) are sold out? I wouldnt be surprised if they come back in stock within a day or two. very cunny marketing. wasted two mornings to find a deal on laptop and both the times, the ones that may have been value for money were sold out before 6 a.m. Last time, they appeared back in stock the very next day. wouldnt trust them again

I think if you get the expensive items you'd save a bit…but the shipping is a killer.
I bought a Netgear WNDR4500 ($225) + Canon ink pack ($78) + Pet bed (15).
Total $318. With the 30% discount it comes down to ~$222. But then shipping is $30 which brings it back to $252.
According to Staticice I could pick up the same inks for $16 each x 5, so that's $80; the WNDR4500 can be had for $195 from MSY. Petbeds can be had for $15 from reject shop. All up $290.
So in the end I saved $38. Not exactly earth shattering…

Asus R501VM seems ok with 30% off $889.91 delivered http://www.dealsdirect.com.au/p/asus-r501vm-i7-8gb-750gb-15-... (code still working for me as of like 5 mins ago) 1128 seems cheapest on staticice with same ram and HD
justtoreply on 13/08/2012 - 12:15 ¶They should have chosen a more reasonable hour for WA. I would spent $400 or so.

It's from their Fraud Prevention Officer stating that:
"This is to protect the security of credit card holder as the transaction was completed over the internet… If we do not receive a response from you within the next 7 days, the order will subsequently be cancelled and refunded."
Seems pretty legit but wanted to know if anyone else experienced the same thing?
digitalaxon on 13/08/2012 - 23:50 ¶Bought a Dyson too - DC34, however I forgot to add a product (Tuner Card) :( so I'm happy I got a good price on a Dyson but kicking myself for forgetting to add the tuner card (that I had my eye on a day earlier)… Grrrrr Hopefully they repeat the sale (wishful thinking on my part)…
+1 votehighon2str on 14/08/2012 - 10:08 ¶Hey hey, the Dyson dc35s are magically back in Stock again!
highon2str on 15/08/2012 - 09:04 ¶Nice! Did you get this when the code was working on the Friday arvo? They were definitely all 'sold out' over the weekend, well before the Mon morning sale.
highon2str on 15/08/2012 - 12:44 ¶Damn u did good! DD must be kicking themselves for activating the code early. They obviously intended to remove all the dc35s before the Mon sale. Just a presumption of course. Unless you can somehow convince me that the entire stock sold out on sat. And more stock arrived on Tues. :/
