      Specs wise, U30gt wins.
      Community support wise, U30GT wins.
      Exterior wise, U30GT is way better!!
      In short, get U30GT if you can find a reliable seller.

    I wonder if those bought this tablet from Centrecom deal $399 for 2 can claim cashback from Powerbuy or not? I don't see why they can't but it seems that everyone missed out coz no one mentioned about the cashback in that post.

        that will make it the best deal $150 (or $130 if you reserve the claim first) for a dual-core tablet with Digitizer Pen and this is Lenovo brand not some no-brand chinese tablet.

      I Bought the lenovo from Dealsdirect about two weeks ago 30% off. And Submitted the Powerbuy cash-back a few day later. The cash back was approved within a few days and i am waiting on payment. I chose the Cheque option so payment will take longer. You have the option of having it payed directly into your bank account. I know this doesn't answer your question RE Shoppingexpress, But i don't see there being a problem claiming the cash-back with Shoppingexpress. Just my opinion.

        My dealsdirect 30% off invoice is quite strange. It states the price as $349.95, but the total is $259.91 with no mention of the 30% off. Was your invoice like that? Did Powerbuy ask questions?

          Yes my invoice was the same as yours. No powerbuy just sent me an e-mail stating. Please note that I have now approved Claim No ****. But until i receive the cheque can't be 100%

      Got one from the deals direct sale the other weekend. I missed out on the centrecom deal so made sure to register for the cashback before buying around 30 minutes later. Got the email a couple confirmation a couple of days later and the money in my account a few days after that.

    Got one in the last deal for $190 delivered after cashback, I'm happy with it, I thought it was going to be thicker than it actually is after reading some comments but it's pretty slim, I can't complain for a Tablet under $200 bucks.

    No power button problems for me, everything seems fine, every gadget has problems, (iphone 4 Antenna for one) i'm very happy with mine.

      I just did that, ie bought at $319. If they don't honour the price, I've got the screen shots handy if they want to play. But seriously, I thought the price would change at some stage of the checkout process, but it didn't…I paid with CC via Paypal just in case.

        I wouldn't do that, I'm not trusting them with any of my money, because legally, they're allowed to honour it at 319, because you legally entered a contract with them, abiding by the terms and conditions at the time of the sale.

        They probably set the server to alter the prices at the wrong time or something, so if "Epic Hour" is miraculously at 3am in the morning, you'll know why….

    To clarify, this is in addition to dropping price back to $249 right?
    If it truly was "wrong time" set on promotion then you should have plenty of stock to shift.
    If compensation is just free shipping ie $12.05, this is a bad deal.

    The compensation of free shipping only applies when you are buying a new item or Lenovo tablet at the original price which is $319 from them. I rang them up specifically ask for it and that's answer I've got. If you were lucky enough to complain yesterday, they were still honour the EPIC HOUR price, but plus shipping charge. It's all sold out anyway!

    After sending them an email expressing my disappointment with the Epic Hour fail, I got a reply saying they will honour the price for me. So I placed my order and they manually adjusted it to $249 price. Pretty happy as I did not expect that, thanks SE. I am a registered user of SE so not sure if that made a difference. Now to submit my Powerbuys cashback….

    Having read into the Lenovo TPT a little bit, it doesn't seem like such a great unit anymore given the reports of the dodgy power button and overall poor OS support from Lenovo.

    I think the Acer Iconia A500 from MLN for $218 shipped is a better buy if you're after a 10.1 inch tablet and don't mind not having digitizer pen support: http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/77526
