I thought this was worth putting on OzBargain because Ryda generally have pretty good prices (for Australian stock with local warranty) but the shipping is usually the killer (easily $17-20 even for small items).

    Exactly why I posted this :) I once drove all the way out there (was 45min drive) on a Sunday only to find they aren't open on Sundays! If only I had the free shipping coupon back then haha.

      You get what you pay for.. Try FHRX Studios in Caringbah if you're not able to install yourself. I don't know how these guys would go with installs, but it would all depend on your budget I guess

          The do shitty job with amp installs hacking from the rear speakers instead of doing a proper job from the headunit and they charged $150 (from memory) for a 1.5h job. I ended up re-wiring it myself. I know from a friend that fhrx does a proper install professionally!

          is there a proper way hacking from the rears if you dont have the rca out from your headunit?

          Good point. But they have to at least told their customer what they are going to do before messing around with the cables. If they had told me there is a choice between tapping into the rears or getting a headunit with RCA out, I wouldve chosen the latter.
          It's not only that, their cabling was also very messy. It's all tucked underneath the carpet.

          You can quickly see poor cabling vs pro cabling.

          Anyhow I had no clue about installing an amp and that was why I got them to do it. Now I have learnt the hacky way from them and also the proper way using RCA from the head unit.

      Correct, you'll have to search through to find some good deals, I'm sure there are some on there somewhere. I just put those up as examples of some relatively cheap things they sell.

    The best deal at ryda are the Siemens Gigaset cordless phones and also the voip handsets. hard to find elsewhere.
