This was posted 8 months 30 days ago, and might be an out-dated deal
Just noticed the sale on Brainwavz B2 at MP4Nation.
These bad boys:
- are dual balanced armatures
- are the flagship earphones of Brainwavz (in ear).
- free fedex next day delivery
- come with comply foam eartips (in addition to silicon sets)
This is the cheapest it has been since the pre-sale.
Local price is $189, with longer delivery times:

The normal price on MP4Nation is $159.50.
All reviews I've read are very positive, for example:

Also (for people viewing this from limited data plans/this one is a big big page - to summarise, it has similar scores to $300 IEMs):

For those of you familiar with Fischer Audio DBA-02, these are practically the same earphones (same shell, same drivers, same cable - just given a face lift by Brainwavz and made available for a much more reasonable price):

Looking at the comments on my previous posts, there seems to be plenty of ozbargainers willing to spend around $100 for a good pair of earphones, and B2 seems to be one of the best buys for that price range.
These are now available for $109, with facebook discount code ‘fb2012fiver’.

already have ie8 and also trifi 10's
I hate you ozbargain
Can anyone compare these to the Etymotic er6i? I bought them a long time ago and I still think they are the best sounding in-ears that I've owned.
Tried RE-0, RE-1, Feels Pro900.
The RE-0 were pretty good but the build quality on that thing is pathetic. First one broke before I even opened it!Anyway, I'm looking forward to any comparison between these and the Etymotic line-up.

Balanced armature vs single driver. Totally different animal. Personally I feel balanced drivers give a more forgiving and 'fun' sound, where as single drivers tend to be more natural.
Although having said that, I feel the Brainwavz brand's tuning overall is too natural.

+1 voteUE700 has "occasional ear-ripping sibilance and a generally greater tilt towards brightness compared to the DBA-02 (B2)". Even though B2 and UE700 share the same drivers, the tuning seems to make UE700 inferior (with the piercing highs).

+1 voteCompletely different ball park, but both ultimately can be summed up as natural. I have both.
I got the HM5's for my studio for when im recording vocals. Excellent isolation and natural sounding. It was a very different signature to get used to at first (im used to DT990's), but now i really appreciate the clarity, soundstage and awesome closed isloation.
B2's are my spare listening buds, got them in the last sale so only had a few days on/off with them. Very good isolation, very very clear, but really showed up bad mp3's easily. I also have the Brainwavz M2's and find they are my everyday buds as they work for all music equally, whereas the B2's were beautiful for some tracks and harsh and unforgiving on other tracks. With a well recorded artist on flac, the B2's shine.
HM5's are quite big but comfortable. B2's fit well, but i wear them in reverse so the cables fall down, not up.
I ended up installing techflex on my B2's cable (upto the y split) as i felt the cable doesn't feel like it would take alot of strain. They look sweet now and much more durable.
My 7 cents….

Although using a LOD and an amp will theoretically give you a better sound, for earphones like these there isn't really a big benefit and the money invested to do so isn't worth the improvement if any. Also the output by the iPhone just by itself is actually pretty damn good for something in its field and will produce decent SQ for a plethora of earphones/headphones. Amps are only needed when something needs that extra little kick to open up it's full potential.

Nice find, this is a very good price for dual BAs.
