    this is quite possibly decent value

    typical dlink in that the baseload firmware is a pile of crud

    ddwrt is a tad convoluted to install

    8 x 10/100 ports which is of varying use in this day and age of NAS and the like

    2.4 n300 2x2 which is ok

    i predict it'll get ozbargained at 2.05pm?

      Yes, the same place. I've bought few things from them before then I had the bad experience last time when they had LinkSys router. I won't waste my time on them again. Last time I managed to place my order within first few minutes they opened the sale and received the confirmation emails and all good. But I never received the item but just an email saying sorry we ran out. One of my friend also ordered from them after long time I placed my order, which was received. Somethings not right there.

    Is this router good enough for a small 2-storey townhouse with Telstra Broadband cable connection, or should I get a Netgear WNDR3700 for around double the price from MSY?

      in reality any decent router should do in that situation

      however the reports of dropouts and poor performance on the base firmware should put you off unless you want to flash it

    i honestly dont know how Dlink stay in business

    this 632 has the same apple connectivity issues as the older 600 series routers I got for free from frustrated apple users

    some people on ddwrt forums say that ddwrt doesnt even fix it conclusively… beware people :-/

    I had 6 months with this router and went back to a my old Linksys, signal drop out and having to reset it 2-3 times a month.

    Signal was shocking in the next room, only got it because of the 8 ports!

    I would not recommend this at all!
