Royce 2.4Ghz Wireless Soundbar 5.1CH Surround Sound System. Haggled $299 delivered @ CrazyStu
This was posted 487 days ago, and might be an out-dated deal
Designed specifically to suit wall mounted LCD or Plasma HD ready TV’s from 32”-50”
Front and rear speakers can be wall mounted, front under the TV and rear wireless
on the back wall (brackets supplied).
With a dual speaker sub woofer, this sound system consists of 10 woofers including full range drivers
and tweeters for an awesome surround sound experience. The 2.4 Ghz multi-channel wireless link
between the main front speaker and the rear surround sound speaker provides crystal clear reception up to 20 metres. All you need do is plug the speaker into a power supply and no more messy speaker wires are needed to connect your rear speakers.
The unit also has a full function remote control, AM-FM Radio in-built and comes complete with RCA cables, wall mount brackets and antennas.
I was interested to see how choppy would respond, given he/she claims not to represent crazystu.com.au despite all evidence to the contrary.
Not much of an answer, though I suppose that can’t be helped - this thing doesn’t even turn up in google and there doesn’t seem to be any information on the “Royce” brand either. Make of that what you will.
You mean like LG and Samsung I guess? They both make
a wide range of electronics from fridges to speakers
and are also major resellers of parts to other manufacturers.
C’mon they are offering a money back guarantee! That in my
eyes is a pretty confident gesture. :)
Do you honestly think brands do/make everything equally well? You do realise that different types of products are made by different divisions/factories/subsidiaries - or sourced from entirely different OEMs?
Even if everything magically came from the same factory and plant, why would they be of the same quality? Just because Lionel Hutz is good at shoe repair doesn’t make him a good attorney-at-law :)
If it matters, do research and read reviews. Otherwise, feel free to take the ice-maker/sound system gamble (or think that a moneyback guarantee somehow guarantees quality) - what could go wrong :)
Either way, perhaps you’d like to point us in the direction of some good information about the Royce brand, or their website for starters …
Quick search on google by model number
Unless my browser is blocking part of that website, that certainly isn’t “good information”. In fact it’s even inferior to your own link, as it doesn’t include the advertising copy/description, the box contents - or any mention of the Royce brand. (The “Royceâ„¢ signature series” is rather ironically named, with zero google search results, even in association with the model number.)
By “good information”, I meant the kind of things you yourself presumably look for when researching a purchase: comparisons/reviews by independent websites or publications, opinions of users with no commercial interest in the vendor, electrical and safety specifications registered with government bodies, that sort of thing.
Happy to comment.
I do believe that this is a bargain site, not a shopping comparison site!
This is a rather perplexing statement. OzBargain is indeed a bargain site, which by its very nature makes it a shopping comparison site. A bargain in the typical sense is an advantageous purchase (or freebie), and the very notion of advantage(ousness) requires comparative value. A product is not a bargain if the same product is “cheaper elsewhere”, as you know, or if it is not worth its price compared to equivalent products. That should indeed be regarded a “shopping comparison”, and is completely necessary for this to be a site about bargains.
I have no idea why you brought that up. Particularly as the comments so far have not actually engaged a real shopping comparison (for a variety of reasons).
Well known brand name or not, I thought the idea of this site was to seek out and post offers of exceptional value for money.
It is. (And, again, “exceptional value for money” is a judgment that requires a “shopping comparison”.)
I still believe that comparison or not the buyer will be able to pick an advantageous purchase
choppy, you still don’t appear to grasp that except in some circumstances (such as freebies), comparison will almost always be the main factor in determining the value/advantageousness of a purchase. Either way, the comments here have not actually engaged a real comparison for a variety of reasons as I suggested previously (including the lack of good information about this product and brand).
So the purpose of your comments remains a mystery. What exactly are you trying to say?
