Now DSE have the little brother of the recent 5-in-1 power station on half price special.
This one contains an 8aH 12v battery as opposed to the 17aH unit in the 5-in-1.

It has jumper leads, a 12v cigarette socket and a compressor.
While I have my doubts about this jump-starting much more than a small 4 cylinder with a slightly flat battery, it might be quite handy for some as a portable 12v power source.

300AMP claimed jump start rating.

    If you want a compressor the stand alone version may be better. The battery in these goes flat permanently if not maintained in charge, which of course it usually isn't as you only need it once every few months.

    If you buy, check the battery indicator before you hand over your money. Lead acid batteries need to be kept charged at all times, if they are left in a dicharged state for more than a few hours they start to self-destruct internally, and you'll never get anything like full capacity ever again.

    Often the reason for these "sales" is because the batteries have gone bad.

    Also remember that you will have to maintain the battery, charging it at least once every two months, but preferably twice a month. Set a fortnightly reminder on your smartphone!

    Does this unit come with a charger? It doesn't say so, only that it CAN be charged with an AC or DC charger.

    I have one of these, bloody useful. Though mine has been used more on random strangers than my own car. IIRC got the motor mate branded version of the exact same model a year or so ago from Kmart for $30-$40.
