Please mention have to register as a member.

  • -3

I think this is already listed on the birthday offers wiki page.

  • This offer is available to existing members too

  • -8

So it is only free when it's your birthday. Not free in the other 364 days.

  • +1

How does it work ? do you get a coupon after you activate it ?

    • +3

Yes, you then activate it and you can print it, or send to your phone, and show them it upon order.

  • +1

You should update your post that this offer is in the "Offers" tab once you sign up/login. Its not the birthday thing, its in the offers seciton of the site once logged in.

It is available to already joined members

    • +1

      thanks for the tips

  • +1

How do we know which stores are participating?

    • +7

What the OP posted is right.

    • +2

Its not, once you login, the offer for a free 6 inch and drink is there. You need to activate it and use within 12 hours

    • -4

well i love you too ozbargain….

  • +1

Anyone who gets this, check the number at the bottom right of the PDF once you download it, just wanna know if its the same as mine or if they are unique

    • +22

      Nice try, subway staff member

Database error. Probably being ozbargained as we speak!

  • Email activation page throwing up errors as well as a database error

  • Sweet. Will get this for lunch today!

    • +1

A FREE sandwich is a hobo's dream come true!

  • I am just wondering, since it says "FREE LUNCH" but it is valid until 1030PM tonight. Can I get it around 6PM?????

I just validated it at 1030am. so until 1030pm.

    • +2

I'm going to try otherwise it should say only valid from 11am - 3pm or something similar

  • database error

    • meaning? only LUNCH time can get?

  • Couldn't activate email…page does not exists!

Is the voucher unique or can be re-printed many times? I'm sure some nice ozbargainers will share their voucher /wink/

    • has my Name at the top and code starts with HOXHAY

Potentially you could show in on a smartphone meaning it wouldn't be thoroughly checked

      • +1

My Code does not start with HOXHAY, so presumably they are in fact unique.
        Obviously learned from Coles/Woolies.

        • I think they may be unique to each store, so that's all they have to check maybe

        • My code starts with AUGBQ

          West Perth store.

    Awesome!!! Free Lunch Again!!

  • now their website got ozbargained….

  • -5

    awesome….

    "close

    • -4

      another error now…

"The data has been changed or deleted by another user."

      • that's mean you already logged on….but still, you can't see the offer until your email is activated…

and the activation page is dead…atleast for me it is

        • no email or sms. guessing it's boned for now. obzbargain DoS :-o

    • Haha, their systems are getting the OzBagain stress test. :)

    • You negged this because you and 6000 other ozbargainers bogged down the site?

  • I'm going to go tonight, even though it says lunchtime as it doesn't expire until tonight!, I used the smart phone option

    • +7

Just because the website is getting ozbargained, it doesn't make it a bad deal.

  • -6

    Website works!

    • +2

Don't you get tired of your neg votes being revoked joedingy?

  • +5

I did this on Monday. Got my free sub and drink. For those of you wondering whether you can redeem the coupon at a time when it is not considered "lunch time", you should be able to - because I had "lunch" at 8pm on Monday, Subway was cool with it :)
Also, you can show them the voucher on your phone.

    • sweet, I'll be heading there tonight and I chose the phone option as it's easier

  • i am getting the same errors as "aedeau" … maybe its not for WA ?? … anyone in WA able to claim it ???

    • i'm in qld. I think it's a server load issue.

      • ahhh okay thanks … i assumed that cause normally there are lesser deals for us WA guys … :P

    • I'm in WA and got one ok, I was an existing member though so I don't know if that makes a difference

  • +5

I got mine yesterday (WA - was existing member) and also just paid $3 to up it footlong.

  • Server getting hammered bad? I cant seem to Activate my membership (email)

Also anyone know how the activation is done?

I got an email sending me to a generic url : http://www.subway.com.au/EatFreshClub/Activate/

and that page comes up with an error?

    HALPPPP

    • Seems theyve stopped any new member activations to counter this, think we're all in the same boat.

      • I can confirm that it does the same thing for me as well.

        • +1

Just re-send your activation email a few times and you eventually get the right activation link.
When you click it it might say crap about being deadlocked so just keep refreshing and eventually it gets there :)

        • Nope I give up. Now even though I have an email confirmation, my email isn't registered.
CBF anymore :) (But thanks for the help anyway!)

    • type your username at the end

  • Got my voucher ready to go!

This is why I love OzBargain :D

  • This is too good to be true! (But still good).

    • +1

What if Voldemort had said that when Snape came back to him in end of Book 4?

      • +7

Actually that's what Snape would say if Lily Evans came back to him before Book 1.

    • I love you Ozbargain. Almost as much as I love this toasted meatball and cheese sub that I'm eating for freeeee. (Redeemed in Malvern, VIC)

  • +1

Warning to anyone that tried to register using an excisting customer e-mail. You will get this message:

    • "Database Error (Transaction (Process ID 84) was deadlocked on lock resources with another process and has been chosen as the deadlock victim. Rerun the transaction. (uspUserSave; Proc: spUserSave; Line: 108; Number: 1205; Severity: 13; Status: 52))."

Meaning. Clear you Cookies and switch web-browser to try again cause your locked out of the Registration.

    • +11

Deadlock usually occurs when "too many" concurrent processes try to access the same piece of information and one is already hoarding another lock somewhere else…

      i.e. ozbargained :)

      • Ahah scotty. Honestly, do you ever sleep ;)

and you're absolutely right. But tried on IE instead of FF and it works.

        • +5

          It is like… 12pm.

        • I see Scotty on all hours of the night, day, his literally a machine.

        • +3

Actually I got something else to do today… Browsing and commenting on OzBargain, like many people here I believe, is just distraction from doing "real work" :)

        • Thanks that helped .. Chrome was not working but worked on IE …

      • Perhaps… but only when a web app hasn't been properly designed or completely debugged… :-/

  • +2

Im in Melbourne and I get this:

Database Error (Transaction (Process ID 219) was deadlocked on lock resources with another process and has been chosen as the deadlock victim. Rerun the transaction. (uspUserSave; Proc: spUserSave; Line: 108; Number: 1205; Severity: 13; Status: 52)).

Sounds serious… makes me feel like they were trying to stop me hacking into their system lol

  • +2

Great find- but site definitely cannot handle the traffic! I've had no luck…

  • +1

I give up for today as I could not activate the email Q.Q

I will try again another time, it's still valid till OCT as mentioned in OP so all good.

    • Till they realized they just gave away 3,000 Subs with 600ml drinks. I highly doubt this offer will be available for long.

      3,000 Cokes x $1.50 bulk rate = $4,500
      +
      3,000 Subs x $4.65(min sub price) = $13,950

An OzB memebrs will do it daily, multiple locations. I can vouch for these accusations ;)

  • -4

Unfortunately they probably have absolutely no obligation to give the existing offer to new members as they did not advertise it to new members. I'm not holding high hopes of being able to redeem anything from this….

  • Has anyone actually had success with this deal yet? I can't get in but it's still such a popular deal… great publicity move

    • +1

just redeemed it, i was already a registered member though so all i had to do was login, pick where i wanted to redeem this, activate the voucher and off i went :)

      • Ninjabredman. You're a champ; I had no idea this is for excising users aswell.

  • -1

I couldn't activate my voucher, but switching from Chrome to firefox fixed this. Cheers for the deal!

  • I got error while trying to register. :(

    • I stopped trying to include my mobile number in the registration, and then it worked. Try without a mobile number if you're getting an error similar to "Database Error (Transaction (Process ID 116) was deadlocked on lock resources with another process and has been chosen as the deadlock victim. Rerun the transaction. (uspUserSave; Proc: spUserSave; Line: 108; Number: 1205; Severity: 13; Status: 52))."

      • Uhhh!! and then you get another transaction error when trying to validate your email address…. Subway: How deep does the rabbit hole go??

  • +2

thanks op! it worked after a few attempts (chrome - was about to switchback to ie8 but the db un-deadlocked just in time) :)

  • Awesome thank you , lunch sorted

  • Possible to post up an PDF scan like the HJs one?

    • The voucher contains dates and times the voucher is valid

      • fair enough. i get database error. (and im hungry! looks like HJs again!) :P

      • Eat Fresh, that's their motto.

  • After receiving the validation code that sent to my mobile, should I activate it by tomorrow (when I go out) or I should activate now? Ta

  • I am already a member, and I keep trying to activate the deal but it boots me to the front page again, where I must activate the deal..again, endlessly. Frustrating! I am so hungry!

  • Database Error (Transaction (Process ID 122) was deadlocked on lock resources with another process and has been chosen as the deadlock victim. Rerun the transaction. (uspUserSave; Proc: spUserSave; Line: 108; Number: 1205; Severity: 13; Status: 52)).

  • worked. had my 6 inch sub. nice. (existing member)

  • Wow this thing is so popular lol, gonna go get mine now

  • Thanks Heaps OP - got my free lunch

  • What an awesome deal.

Got my voucher after trying for awhile, so worth it. Thanks heaps for posting!

  • +4

Yeah.. I keep getting the Error thingo too. No worries, I'll just try again later. You all keep trying now.. knock yourselves out. But no one else try at 3:30am tomorrow morning - i'm officially lodging my booking to try at that time. You all stay 'way! Don't jam it then. That's MY time! =)

    • +4

3:30 am seems like nice timing foe me too. thanks :)
