Now if only some1 wanted to buy one. When the nexus7 can be had for a lot less i doubt many will go for the galaxy tab 7

    • +4

People who like MicroSD Card Slots might

      • but worse screen resolution, half internal storage and so yesterday cpu :| also so sloooowwww or never with new OS supporting

i prefer pay a bit more to get a nexus 7 and vodafone prepaid modem(they usally do half price deal for that pocket wifi modem - $35 shipped)

        • i prefer

Terrible grammar aside, that's what it comes down to. Everyone knows the Nexus 7 is a brilliant tablet, and better than the Tab 2 overall - but there are some features the Nexus doesn't offer, and these can make or break the purchase for some. What's right for you, may not be right for everyone else.

        • You have obviously not tried Telstra… Miles ahead Optus and Vodafone for data coverage and speeds. Expensive, hence I only use prepaid Telstra data, but Optus for everything else.

    • i bought a 7.7 instead of the nexus 7.. for roughly the same price.. if i had the choice ill do it again =) however i dont understand why they released the tab 2 7inch, although the inbuilt 3g can be had quite cheap compared to 7.7 3g

how much is the nexus 7 3g again?

  • still not a bad price for mobile phone… less than $200 if u take the modem price off

    also compare with different brand:

Samsung, one of the top brand nowadays

ASUS, still a Chinese Brand anyway

    • +8

      its Taiwanese.

      • -6

still Chinese both politically and ethnically..

        • +2

          LOL, don't go there mate…

        • He said Chinese brand not China brand.

          They are all Chinese.

        • +12

Taiwanese and Chinese are the same politically? Oh man, you really need to educate yourself.

    • +6

      Everything is made in China.
including all Apple & Samsung products

    • +2

What makes you think it is a mobile phone?

    • In the tablet arena, Asus is the king of the Android OEM's, so I'm not sure how Asus being 'still a Chinese brand anyway' detracts from it's quality. Also: this is not a mobile phone.

  • Also Coles is selling $30 Telstra Prepaid Starter pack for $10. Today is the last day of its catalog. Also Vodafone $30 starter pack for $15. Last day today.

  • Is this 3g?

    • Since they're selling it with Telstra Mobile Wi-Fi, my guess would be: no, the tablet itself doesn't have a 3G connection.

  • is there any way to unlock the prepaid modem?
