We had a meetup of OzBargainers a few months ago in the CBD at lunch on a Friday, and 3 of us exchanged vouchers (howdy AlwaysCheaper!). Worked very well, you should have come along! There was talk that we might maybe do another one in early 2013.
A lot of vouchers you're after seemed pretty popular, but in terms of what I've got left and can still trade, how about:
I'll give you —> in exchange for
B32 Micky's —> B1 Café Morso
D19 Wowcow —> C83 Flying Fish and Chips
[optional] D68 Boon —> E66 National Maritime Museum
[optional] Subway foot sub + smoothie (D3) —> E116 monorailIf you're interested PM me and we can do a mail swap.
Also, the C26 Sherpa Kitchen voucher is not bad, especially if you buy this deal that is still available: http://www.dealworkz.com.au/moredeals/Sydney/887.html , and then use the voucher for 25% of any extras you order (e.g. rice/rotis/entrees/naans, none of which included are in the deal). Inexpensive way to have a nice meal out, so maybe hang on to that one (we went on Friday night, but I've still got my one because I didn't realise it had an entertainment voucher until I saw it in your list - doh!)
alwayscheaper on 22/10/2012 - 21:11 ¶Hey Nick =)
I don't think you can use a deal voucher and then at the same table use the ent book voucher for other food, that's like in conjunction of other offers which normal restaurant probably won't accept I think
=( but good on u to recommend a deal!
I think technically you are correct, but I've tried it twice (online deal, then use Ent book voucher for 25% off the extras) and it was accepted both times no problem (albeit saving <= $10 each time, but since I doubted I'd go back I had no downside to using the voucher). So in practice it usually seems to work, although in theory maybe it shouldn't ;-) Also we tend to give the online deal vouchers when we arrive, and (if applicable) give the ent book voucher at the end when paying, so I guess by unintentionally doing them separately it has probably decreased the chance of having a problem? But if a restaurant rejected a 25% voucher, it wouldn't be a big deal, it's usually only a small amount of money, I simply consider it a bonus if it works.
awkwardpaws on 22/10/2012 - 22:13 ¶yeah i saw the meet up on the forums but i only actively looked for swaps fairly recently… but of course would be keen next year!
ill PM you for deets!
Hi Roy! Yeah, I've still got some to go too, but I've taken to carrying a few in my wallet to try to make it easier to go more spur-of-the-moment, which helps a bit! But the whole book needs to be available as an iphone/android/web app, so that you can always carry your vouchers with you / can swap or give individual vouchers to others / gives alerts if you're near or in a place that accepts a voucher that you have available / deletes old businesses as they go bust, adds new new vouchers as they become available / does the functions of the gold card / lets you order next year's book / etc.
