Haven't owned this model but the eheims I have, have never needed repair or replacement parts (excluding media) and I've had one for 18 years - flow is reduced compared to new so probably could do with an overhaul but compared to my fluvals it's a dream as I still can't hear it running.

Eheim is a pretty kickass brand. I wonder why other manufacturers don't put the effort in to make their motors this quiet.

Received mine from theReefShop.com.au this week for $124 including shipping to WA. Yes, mine include media, and 2 flow control vaults, which on the box says is optional accessories.
Using it for outdoor pond, with filter undercover. Pretty quiet and can be used in home aquarium.

Are you sure you got the 2215? The 2213 model is $124at thereefshop.
The 2215 comes with double taps as standard and has higher flow rate.
