Sportingbet: Free $100 Bet
Free $100 bet when you join and deposit min $30. You may deposit by PayPal, Credit Card, Internet Banking, Bank or BPay.
Remember that “RC00026166” promotional code ;)
yeh… what sucks is that it isn’t even $100 to split up and do what you want with…. It’s one single bet! :-P
For winning Free Bets, winnings will be paid excluding the initial $100 Free Bet stake. This means that if the Free Bet is placed on a selection paying $1.15, the net winnings paid will be $15, (i.e. $115 less the $100 Free Bet).
EDIT: It gets even better - Prior to any withdrawal, both the deposit and any winnings accrued via Free Bets must be turned over at least once (1x).
So you have to win twice to withdraw..
Once to bet your $30 minimum and then again to bet your winnings from the first bet..
You can still end up in front..just might take a few goes.
I don’t like these tactics..
Why do you think Jamie Packer has sunk his Dad’s entire empire into Casino’s!
It’s not great because as explained you win nothing on your free $100..
You’d have to bet $100.01, then bet your winnings (assuming you win) on another bet (and win it) before you can withdraw..
It’s sneaky and poor form..
Then again that describes the whole “industry”
That assumes you’re not forced to bet your $30 in full.. I can’t access the site (it’s blocked at work) to read the full terms.
They might ask you for it. From here:
All accounts with Bookmakers are now subject to customer identification processes as stipulated by the Federal Government of Australia. We at Sportingbet want to make this process as easy and hassle free as possible for you. To this end we have some very easy options available to establish your identity and enjoy our service.
Identification must be received within 90 days of opening an account or before making any withdrawal.
Then
Simply log in to your Sportingbet account and click on the Identification link in the My Account section, following the prompts your details will be checked against a range of available databases to establish your address and date of birth. You will be asked to supply either your Tax file number, Medicare or passport details to complete the identity verification so ensure you have these to hand.
Why would I want to provide my personal and sensitive details for something that is not guaranteed money?
Normally they’ll email you and ask you to provide your IDs as Pauly mentioned.
I have always had to prove who I am with Drivers licence etc… I would suggest that very few betting agencies will allow you to withdraw money without id / bank details.
I agree with pauly (for heavens sake change that icon ;-) ) its really not worth the hassle unless you win on a 20-1 bet ….
If you do decide to do this one “trick” is to bet your free bet on a very low odds gamble.
eg When top team plays bottom team, the chances are greater that you will win. Although very little winnings . eg may win $101 from a $100 bet, BUT you have now turned over your free bet and you do this again, and the money is yours. This is the safest way - yes I know there is no guarantee.

Gambling companies have been doing this for AGES. It is only a bargain if you can withdraw the bonus somehow :P
