Melbourne - Perth from $49.95 one way including tax!
Tiger Airway are offering a very cheap national fares. You could find plenty of them but one of the most interesting one (maybe because I live in Perth) is the cost of Melbourne-Perth for $49.95 including tax and surcharges. And it really is $49.95!
There are more flights to/from Melbourne on special but this one will surely makes me fly to Melbourne sometime near Christmas!

That’s the regular fare. Like one where you buy off an agent. But try make a flight booking, it will give an internet fare, which is the $49.95.
Also note that Melbourne airport for Tiger is operating on December (I think), so you can only make a booking after that date.
Also note that all flights are subject to regulatory approval and it states on the website that refunds on tickets will not be offered. However, it is not perflectly clear on the site (to me at least) what happens if regulatory approval is declined. From how I read it you lose all your money. They’re off to a promising start though and I hope they kill JetStar! (who, incidentally, offer MEL -> PER for $99 but don’t expect to use their ‘double the difference’ refund guarantee because it’s from a different Melbourne airport!).
