    Boo..

"Expires 11:59 PM PST on Sunday, December 9, 2012. This promotion excludes Kindle devices, digital downloads and gift card purchases."

    No digital downloads :(

  • deleted.

  • Does this include amazon.uk?

    • I can't see why it would?

  • 1) Shop for items with "Ships from and sold by Amazon.com."
    2) Add over $25 of eligible items to your cart and proceed to Checkout.
    3) On the "Review Your Order" page you will see the $5 savings applied.

  • time to get an Aeropress?

  • Just claimed it, Thanks!

      • it mate.
  • Got some CD's on my wishlist :) $5 off = free-ish shipping. Good enough for me :D

  • Does anybody know a way to buy Kindle books by adding a number of them to the cart first? I can only see the "Buy now with 1-Click" button, so there's no way to order $25 worth of stuff.

    • Poster Vladdo mentioned this excludes digital downloads.

  • Thanks! I just used that $5 towards the other 2 TB HDD bargain! (http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/86818)

Does anyone have luck applying the discount to an AU address?

    • Not a problem at all.

  • Woot just got a couple of criterion Blus the $5 helps with the freight Thanks :D

  • I tried buying a CPU cooler that 'Ships from and sold by Amazon.com.' yet it won't let me checkout because they say they don't ship to my address.

    • so? whats ur problem?

      • his problem is he can't get his CPU cooler :-)

      • Well, isn't that obvious I can't buy it? I'm guessing they don't ship computer parts internationally.

        • Guessing wrong as you can see from a post further up someone purchased a 2TB HDD it's hit miss with Amazon some stuff they will some they wont it's often down to the brand so try a different make. It can even be more random than that you can try to checkout one day a get a no go, go back the next day same item and it's all cool Amazon works in mysterious ways ;)

        • Chipstss is right, melmac wrong. An external hdd isnt a computer part, a cpu cooler is. You can plug a hdd into your telly. Amazon dont export 99% of their pc parts (only random things like some cables and maybe a fan if your lucky).

          10 Points to chipstss

        • Actually I'm sticking with my first response, just went to the computer parts section picked a random part on the first page of the memory section(crucial Ram) and it allowed me to checkout tried the same on the first page of the graphics cards(gigabyte) and again no problem. So to summarise it's difficult to predict but Yes Amazon will sell you computer parts

That's common with a lot of Amazon stuff. The only things guaranteed to ship to AU are books, CDs and DVDs.

All the other stuff are hit and miss. Video games sometimes ship but they charge expedited shipping which is more expensive.

I tried buying a CPU cooler that 'Ships from and sold by Amazon.com.' yet it won't let me checkout because they say they don't ship to my address.

its because CPU coolers spin in the opposite direction in the Northern Hemisphere…

  • Got it. Ta.

  • no SSD :(

  • 18v drills anyone? that bosch one no longer ships to aus.. d'oh

  • Bought a Maglite torch I have been looking at for the last few days :) Thanks OP!

  • What can i get for 76c?

  • -1

I have tried to order 6 completely different items and none of them 'ship to my address'… what does Amazon.com even ship to Australia?

    • Erm, books, DVDs, Bluray etc.

      • Ok fair enough, I tried to order mostly clothing or electronics and a camera lens.

        • +1

Some electronics will ship. You have to try them all out. There's no rhyme or rhythm to it. Sometimes you change the packaging and they will ship, or the size/capacity.

      • No games either??

        • +1

They ship some games, not all. I've had issues with some collectors editions for instance.

  • Excellent, thanks for posting. Just purchase the Rankin/Bass Christmas classics on blu-ray for my daughter :)

  • Awesome, saved $5. Thank you.

  • If your loved ones like/love music get them some headphones. They will love you for it, and amazon has too many to choose from.

    • Which ones will ship to AU?

      • If you still use ibuds i IMPLORE YOU to throw them in the bin and get yourself some decent phones. Your ears will thank you.All these are well reviewed headphones on the web and i have bought them all off amazon, so they definantly ship to Aus. - For the budget conscious - http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0006B486K/ref=oh_details_o…
Intermediate (just got these today actually, they would have to be my favourite so far) - http://www.amazon.com/Audio-Technica-ATHM50S-Professional-Mo…
Note i got the M50 coiled cable in the black friday sales for $105, but they have gone up a bit.
High end - There are many great options at this range and many factors come in to play. I dont own these but they are my next ones on my list to get - http://www.amazon.com/Beyer-Dynamic-Premium-32-Headphones/dp…
32ohm if you dont have an amp, or 250/600ohm if you have one. Note that most if not all headphones (not earphones or iems) perform better with amplification. Ive found though that amazon dont ship alot of them, or the big home theater ones are like $80-100 to ship here, so try elsewhere for amps.

        Hope this helps!

  • wow … didnt expect this offer to get so popular
soooooo …. what you guys been buying … idea's plz =)

  • Damn it! The only thing I want to buy is $24.99! Anyone know something that's 1c??? :P

    • talk to amazon customer support on live chat and they will fix it up for you

      • Really? I might give it a go tomorrow-thanks!

        • I contacted them, and at first the lady said no, but eventually she said yes :) I felt bad, but I was trying my best to be nice :P

        • win !!

  • Thanks, got an alarm clock and doorbell for <$50 (I had a $5 gift card as well as this $5 discount)

  • Got it last night and ordered some Blu-ray :)

    • Any cheap blu-rays?

Didn't work for me even though it sent me an email and I claimed it. Cannot see the credit and did't work trying to buy a book (non-digital).

  • Got a Timex watch, good price for them around $32 shipped beats paying $60+ locally. Glue Store sells for $99

  • Not working for me - now I've got an Amazon item on my facebook timeline and got nothing for the advertising!

  • The link they sent me was just one to go to amazon.com and then there is no credit or anything…

  • doesn't seem to be working for me either. Shared, but no credit in checkout.

EDIT: actually got it working by following through to Amazon - had initially just liked/shared it on FB :)

    • What do you mean by "following it through to Amazon"… I tried everything last night and the credit wasn't being activated. I did the offer thing, completed the sentence. It was added to my FB page. I also made sure I clicked "like". What else can be done - any assistance is much appreciated. Thank you.

  • When I went through FB process it requires me to install an Amazon App - was put off by the level of access they get to my data and my friends data, so probably wont worry. Never thought I would turn my nose up at 5 bucks!

If you have a personal facebook account, it surprises me that this sort of thing worries you when FB already knows all your details?

Just make a second account for freebies and comps with bogus info. I hate facebook but a fake account does come in handy.
