  Just remember because it is most likely discontinued the OS updates will slowly come to a stand still. You may not care, but neither did I until it happened to my Galaxy Tab…

    Sometimes that's not such a bad thing; 4.2 and 4.2.1 have been quite buggy for me. The random restarts and reduced battery life are really starting to annoy.

      I have gone back to 4.0 on my Motorola Xoom, using the stock European roms (couldnt find an Aussie one). The browser is definitely more stable, plus I can use iview again.
      
      The Euro and Aussie roms take longer to arrive, but seem to have a few kinks worked out along the way.

Toshiba has a dismal reputation for a lack of after-sales support including upgrades to firmware and all. I highly doubt this would even get past ICS let alone Jelly Bean or Key Lime Pie..

regarding the AT270, this has the same screen as the samsung 7.7 tab.
when the samsung 7.7 was selling for around $260 a while back people were saying it has such an amazing screen and worthy of it's original $500 rrp so for $260 this is an incredible bargain
and that a screen of that quality won't be seen again as that pricepoint is too high for a 7 inch tab
(shown by the samsung tab 2 being inferior)
my question is do you think this is the case or will general screen technology just get so much better anyway and in a year or so every $300 7 inch tab will have a screen just as good as the 7.7 and the AT270

May arrive here before Christmas, although likely for $379 or $399. If Toshiba decide that they actually want to sell product in this market I guess we may even see it come in at $349. The dollar's certainly buoyant enough.
Specs-wise it looks like it loses 2 megapixels off the rear camera (3 instead of 5), but gains Jelly Bean out of the box. Given Toshiba's aforementioned lousy reputation for updates, something to consider.
The ball's in Mobileciti's court. Rep - maybe if you can do better than 345 for the current model, it'll shift the balance for some people…
Good price on the AT270. Build quality wise and otherwise it's a pity you couldn't get another batch of the Samsung GT's but these should go quickly.
