Just ordered one, hopeful can get before Christmas.

Also Nintendo of Europe is running a deal right now where if you register your 3DS with them online before February, they'll give you a code for one of a selection of downloadable titles for free. More details on the link, just thought it was worth a mention.

anyone want to buy a US 3ds? lol
bigosmallo on 14/12/2012 - 18:56 ¶You misunderstand his question. He was replying to the guy who bought a US console.
Yes he can just buy US games then.
bigosmallo on 15/12/2012 - 01:50 ¶lolwut, he replied to his post directly, he didn't need to quote anything.

If you buy in Oz, a charger is included, but not all countries according to Wikipedia:
"In order to reduce costs Nintendo will not include an AC Adapter with the Japanese and European versions, however an AC Adapter will be included with the North American, Australian and Korean releases."
Picked up a couple of 3DS-XL units from Big W online last week for $188.

Not for the customer obviously… Wow. Talk about a way to charge more. A charger is an essential accessory needed for the system. Of course people are going to need one, so to not include would mean people need to spend a little bit extra for it.
I don't get why they think NA, Aust, and Korean owners need it but the rest of the world don't. If it's to cut costs, it should be universal.

I would say the reason we, NA and Korea get a charger would have something to do with our consumer laws not allowing a company to sell a product that is missing core components.
Least, I would think that would the case. Our goverment does look out for our well being after all and never wants us getting screwed over with goods compared to the rest of the world.
+5 votesGood price - Am looking at buying a 3DS XL, but can't bring myself to buy this Pikachu one, ever since I saw this picture - http://www.thetoyzone.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/07/pikachu...

kangaberries on 14/12/2012 - 12:15 ¶Anyone recommend must have games? Besides Mario land and Mario kart?
+4 votesWould have bought this in a heartbeat had the whole thing been yellow instead of just the top and bottom on the outside. I don't like the white part at the hinge and when you open it it's white :/ Oh well, that's my opinion though, pretty sure a lot of you guys will like it :)

Mine arrived today too with the dearest shipping as I wanted it before Xmas. On the parcel says "UPS Saver" lol ripped off. Of more concern was the "authority to leave article on premises without p.o.d. signature". The courier just left it on the porch when no one was home was sitting there all day :S

Guys don't forget to claim your free game if you have bought any of these 3DS XL's.
Register it on http://www.nintendo.co.uk/NOE/en_GB/club_nintendo/product_re... with your included code and after you have created your account and logged in there will be a big banner saying "claim your free game". Go through the prompts to select your chosen game and you will be emailed a code which can be used from today.
Then go to the 3DS and change your region to United Kingdom. After this eShop will show the European eShop. Redeem your download code and the game you selected will download.
I can confirm this works on my 3DS - even though I bought the 3DS XL so the download code is hardware independant. However if you ever want to download the game again (eg. if it was deleted) you will need to change your region and go back to the EU eShop (for instance if your usual eShop is AU).

I got my Pikachu 3DS XL on the 31st and immediately signed up for that free game thing. Followed all the prompts and now I'm just waiting for the downloadable code of Super Mario 3D Land to be emailed to me. They said it'd be available from Jan 1 so I'm assuming it'll be a bit later for us Aussies.
Also can you change your eShop region and 3DS region back to Australia after I make the download for my free game?

It took a few days for the code to be emailed to me. I downloaded it in the afternoon of Jan 1.
Yes you can change the eShop region back to AU. Funny thing is your downloaded title is listed in the AU eShop even after changing back. So i'm guessing the download code could work even in the AU eShop.
I also did a system transfer 3DS -> 3DSXL after download and everything migrated 100% :D
