BigW WiFi Bargains - Belkin Wireless USB Adapter N150 $8 / N300 $12, Pocket Wi-Fi 2 $15.80
This was posted 4 months 24 days ago, and might be an out-dated deal
Just browsing at BigW and came across what I see are great bargains in the phone and computer section in Glenorchy Tasmania. Presume these prices are nationwide, and I have not seen cheaper anywhere else!!
Vodafone Pocket Wifi 2 - $15.80 down from $78 - Photo - http://alturl.com/pii39
Includes 6GB of data and 94 day Expiry !!!!!
There have been other deals posted for $29 and $39.50, but this is the cheapest I have seen. Links in the other posts indicate possible cheap ebay unlock @ http://alturl.com/obkru
** Please don't bag Vodafone, they are getting better, and consider the price ** Perfect for Mums and Dads!
Also there were:
Belkin N150 Wireless Adapter - $8 - Photo - http://alturl.com/4k2o3
Belkin N300 Wireless Adapter - $12 - Photo - http://alturl.com/nzsc9
Plenty of adapters left on the shelf, but I grapped the last 2 Pocket WiFi's @ Glenorchy.

Is another option for unlocking. Took just a couple of hours to get code.
+2 votesI unlocked mine for free using Vodafone's website, WITHOUT activating it first. Website said there was a problem, and to please provide a mobile number so they can contact me. They sent a SMS in 2 days asking me to try again… unlock worked :-)

(It states Unlocking your device online saves you $25.00.)
Vodafone just sent SMS to say my unlock code is available - via Vodafone unlock site!
(Took 2 working days)
Handset Unlock Procedure for IMEI: ***************
Your unlock code is: ********
Manufacturer/Model: Huawei_E585
Worked & FREE!
brucefromaustralia on 12/03/2013 - 19:19 ¶Did it today - it was!
Entered my IMEI on https://unlock.vodafone.com.au/ a few days back, it said they needed to get back to me so left my mobile number, they contacted me by SMS today - try the site again as my IMEI had been added to their system. A minute later it was unlocked. Simple & Free!
brucefromaustralia on 12/03/2013 - 20:17 ¶Saw it ($50-25!!) - but I never was sent there - just that my IMEI was not on their records & they set up the system for me to get unlocked free. Easiest way.
So did you get 6G & 94 days as the op said - I only got 3G & 30d.I would re enter IMEI & try again, contact Voda, or use the free process in http://www.wikihow.com/Unlock-Huawei-E585-Mifi-Router
-1 votebrucefromaustralia on 22/03/2013 - 11:57 ¶Entered the IMEI for a second Pocket WiFi2 (still to be unwrapped) into Voda's unlock site - gave me the unlock code immediately.
+1 votesupabrudda on 27/12/2012 - 15:20 ¶who cares whether it's voda, it's unlockable & has 850-900-2100 bands so is carrier independent.
I can't see it on their website so I guess it's store by store

its full price online
http://www.bigw.com.au/electronics/mobile-phones-internet/mo...

I haven't yet activated mine, but I rang Vodafone to confirm and they said that if it states on the box 94 days expiry then it includes 6gb of data. If it states 30day expiry then it includes 3gb of data. These should have been $99 stock RRP price from what Vodafone cs said

bargain_finder on 27/12/2012 - 17:18 ¶Picked up the last 2 pocket wifi's from Robina on the GC.
Were marked as $79 but came up as $15.80 when scanned.
Thanks OP
Crownanchor on 27/12/2012 - 19:09 ¶These Pocket Wifi's will work on Telstras 3G network, as they support the frequency Telstra uses. 4G is not supported, and 4G modems are sold at a premium, probably still around $100 price for USB dongle.
$15.80 is an amazing price. I bought the Virgin Modem when they first came out, and it was $230, a spare battery was able to be purchased and it was about $50 or $80.
brucefromaustralia on 27/12/2012 - 18:53 ¶Thanks! Rang my local BigW in Brissie (free PennyTel call!) & got the last Pocket Wifi 2 put aside.
$15.01 on ING Paywave!

+1 voteJust got back from BIGW Glenorchy and they had quite a range of discounted networking equipment, biggest bargains were the Belkin Wireless N150 and 300 dongles though. I did pick up a Belkin Surf N300 router (Belkin F7D2301) though.

I once tried one of those services with a huawei ideos u8150 and it took about 3 weeks to get a refund. It didn't work and the guy was trying to tell me to put the code in again for the fifth time which locks the phone btw. He couldn't understand why I was hesitant to try it for the fifth time.
-1 voteHere's a nice wireless card to put in if you plan on making a WiFi hotspot for your wireless n300 adapters.

FreaqyGeeq on 27/12/2012 - 21:43 ¶Great deal, nabbed the last Pocket WiFi 2 from the Taigum Big W. Thanks OP!
FreaqyGeeq on 27/12/2012 - 23:06 ¶Sorry KLoNe, I'm not sure. I actually phoned ahead—the sales guy put the last unit aside for me, and I sent my bro over to pick it up on my behalf.
gandhi28152 on 27/12/2012 - 21:44 ¶wondering, once i unlock this one, can i use overseas sim card, and use it on overseas.. any idea?

I think they're $79 because they're the PRO model, which is perhaps the new model.
My prev. post should have said BigW southland is scanning at $79. Doncaster confirmed the $15.80 clearance price (even though the sticker said $79) when I asked, however they didn't have stock.
