BloodSail Admiral on 28/12/2012 - 11:08 ¶i am with optus now, thinking to change but not sure weather the installation cost is include of those package or not . Any idea ? Activation is different thing. Right ?

It says untimed local calls, not unlimited. Sounds like you still pay for them.
Though when you look at the plan page it says unlimited:

WOW
Ultimate kicks ass - it is a LOT quicker.
Calmerancer on 28/12/2012 - 14:23 ¶I have not done extensive research but for price value I think Telstra has been quite pricy and customer service is always long wait times in the past…. I'm with exetel, may not be the fastest but it is the best for me. The customer service is by far the best I have delt with for Internet . I pay 40$ a month for phone and Internet with 40 gig. I only went over the limit once and that was at the end of the month … They don't charge extra but slow speeds and still very useable. That's ext cheap I think n downloads around 600-1000 kb per min. contract is like 12 months.
I have been with Exetel for about 5-7 years now moving from location to location from cost to canberra and inner north Canberra suburbs.

They are big - there will be many many unhappy customers, but there are plenty of happy ones too…

I just got connected today ($100 for landline and 200gb ultimate cable) I got the 24 month contract so free installation. I paid the activation fee of $48 but received a free home phone. I did a speed test and got 93mbps with 9ms ping. I live in bass hill sydney. Best customer service, I know they are pricey (Telstra) but they do give you a excellent service both professional and high standards.
stinger273 on 28/12/2012 - 22:04 ¶I signed up for the $100 Telstra package (200GB Ultimate + Phone Line) about 6 wks ago. Had to reschedule when guy turned up late and said couldn't install cable because of trees. I cut back trees and immediately rang for new appointment. That's were the atrocious service started. So far they have stuffed up 2 appointments and I have been on the phone at least 3 hrs trying to get cable installed. In the end I eventually got some in Oz I could talk to and they had to cancel the whole signup and start again. Hoping for install next week. Can't wait for the fast cable (30 to 100 Mbps) but wondering if worth it for the bad service.
