Panasonic P65ST50A Plasma TV $2432 + Delivery or Free Pick up Sydney 2nds World
This was posted 4 months 18 days ago, and might be an out-dated deal
Hi first post so be nice. Been keeping an eye on the 50" version but noticed the 65" on 2nds world is going fairly cheap compared to everywhere else I've looked. Delivery is average of $45-50 on east coast. Cheers

-1 voteI haven't been keeping up with the latest developments in televisions for a couple of years now (I usually start reading up when I'm keen on making a purchase in the next few months - after all, we all want bang for our buck).
Back in the day, the Plasmas held out against the LCD invasion due to the awesome contrast (deeper blacks) and great viewing angles. These days however, the LED LCDs seem to be catching up. My wall-mounted LCD in the lounge works relatively well as most of our viewing is done from the couch in front or on the side of it - looks really good with high contrast if the curtain next to it is lowered. Bright sunlight around it make it look kinda dull. I'm guessing this is where the Plasmas generally have the edge.

My main annoyance with plasma, no idea if its all of them, is how reflective they are.

People have been getting this for $2300 or less over the Boxing Day sales period. Check Whirlpool forums.
Saying that; this is LOTS cheaper than the $3k I paid back in July! :)
