  There are more than 1 New Year.
  Different calendars, different New Years (such as in Israel, China and India).
  
  10 Feb is New Year - for an enormous portion of the world - the Chinese.
  New Year is the big gift giving time for Chinese.
  This is a Chinese business.
  
  Similar to promotions of all those Thanksgiving sales from USA based businesses a while back, even though less Australians would celebrate that day than (Chinese) New Year.

    Yes, 10 Feb is the first day of our new year(We use the lunar calendar to calculate this). And 9 Feb is the New Year's Eve and we will have a big family dinner. It is similar to Thanksgiving. During the Spring Festival, we will have a week off all around the country.
    
    Spring Festival is the most important Festival to us.
