People, Doesn't matter how much saving you get, Vodafone is sh*t, you will pull your hair out.

    •

I've been with them for 3 years now and not had a single issue.

  •

Is this phone 4G compatible version? If not, I would rather buy a 4G compatible galaxy SIII and a woolworths sim card, then enjoy the 4G wireless broadband provided by Telstra.

    • +1 vote

No its not…..coz Vodafone doesn't have 4g supported network yet.

    •

No, this model is non-4G and Vodafone doesn't have 4G yet. Do you actually get the 4G speeds with a woolworths sim?

      Woolworths pre-paid is optus.

Or you could make your own plan -
    S3 is $500 at Kogan plus 2 years pre-paid $600 unlimited calls/sms,6GB a month.
    Total $1100 plus delivery.

    •

Put it this was for $50 a month you can get from Kogan:
Unlimited calls txt and 6GB data
      Telstra NrxtG
      S3 4G model, not I9300

      The catch:
      Grey import
      pay everything upfront

      The choice is yours……

Though it is Telstra, you get a typical download speed of 550kbps-3Mbps and upload speed of 300kbps-1Mbps (peak network download speed of 7.2Mbps)

    •

which prepaid service are you talking about?

      •

        KOGAN Mobile

Might as well go outright. SGS3 is < $500 nowadays outright and get on a SIM only plan such as TPG for $10-18/month.
    Total cost would've been $740-$932 over 24 months contract-free.

    •

You forgot to mention that with Optus you can utilise the phone/data functions too!

    •

As long as the phone doesn't break in the 2nd year, with a contract you get 2 year warranty, if you purchase it outright you only have 1 year out right. Not a huge thing but something to remember.

    •

not everyone has $500 upfront to pay for the phone outright

  •

I got this phone for my MIL, I rang the sales number and they gave me 10% off for putting it on my account ($45 a month) and the first month free. If you don't want it on your account they will give you a $30 referal fee and the first month free, I didn't even ask for it it was just offered. In case anyone was wanting to get it (extra $165 off)

    •

I signed up the plan at Mo's Mobile last week. No discount at all. The only thing i got was a free screen protector…:(

    no deal vodafail

you can always negotiate a better deal than what voda post on their website. also, the phone is now half year old. dropping price is quite common.
cant see a bargain at all.

      It's normally $7/month for the handset over 24 months, now it's $0/month.

      $7 x 24 months =$168 savings over 2 years.

  •

i swap vodafone to telstra before xmas, so happy to the speed even if i have to fork out a bit more for peace of mind.

  •

interesting..no good deals from neither Vodafone nor Virgin this year.. even S2 which they gave $0 + 3month in Dec2011 was $5 + 3month free in Dec2012.. (I think the plans have gone down in value drastically as well..)

no switching or renewing the contract :D

  •

Rubbish. No 4g. Telsta sims for 10 bucks a month and buy phone outright will save a couple of hundredbucks
