Tweaknews - Block 250GB after Free Trial 11 Euro
This was posted 4 months 20 days ago, and might be an out-dated deal
As many of the US Usenet providers (Astraweb, Blocknews, …) take down quite quickly, it can be useful to have a back-up in Europe.
I tried tweaknews out who offer a 10 day / 10 GB free trial.
At the end of the trial, I received an email inviting me to sign-up and they offer either 3 months for 9 Euro or a 250 GB Block account for 11 Euro - normally 30 Euro (which I went for as it should only be needed as a back-up).
Can't guarantee that you'll receive the invite for the reduced rate sign-up, but as its free, its worth a shot

LoungeLizard on 06/01/2013 - 13:28 ¶I had issues when I converted my trial account. I could not connect after the payment went through. Their (very slow) helpdesk response was "reset your password" which of course didn't do anything. I did eventually get it up and running but it was a frustrating/tedious process communicating with their support guys. Also, there is no way of telling how much you've used - no account info/login. In short, you get what you pay for. Caveat Emptor

You can log in there from the looks of it.
LoungeLizard on 06/01/2013 - 13:40 ¶Well, I stand corrected. I've been looking for that. Cheers mate. I'm pretty sure that wasn't there when I got my account (about 5 months ago)

I think you can only log in to check usage as per cartmans post above. When I joined for the trial, I was emailed everything I needed to know and then when I signed up for the 50Mbit 3 month deal, again I got an email, never actually logged into anything on the web.
Gah the above reply was to your question before you edited :)

So you never checked your usage? And does the password you are using right now work on the https://www.tweaknews.eu/?page=usageoverview link?

ALL Providers have takedowns. Some are slower then others.
The Toastcutter on 11/01/2013 - 08:50 ¶Same here. I'd expect there'd be no special offers until at least the end of the 10 days though.

I got the same offers, suspect they're standard for those that take the trial and don't sign up for anything else during the trial period.
I was sent 3 options -
10Mbit, 10 thread, 3 months €9.95
50Mbit, 30 thread, 3 months €17.95
250GB block, 100Mbit, no expire €11
They don't specify but I'm guessing it's probably 40 threads on the block accounts.
