    1920 x 1080 on a 27" is like using a TV rather than a desktop monitor.

    • +1

Is it really that bad? My eyes aren't great, having said that they handle 24" 1920 x 1200 …. oh wait this is 16:9 not 16:10… pass!

    • -1

      Totally agrees!!!

  • -4

Anything over 22" and only has 1080p is for chumps!

    • +2

      well then i'm a chump because i love my 1080P 27s….

      • you only say that because you dont have 1440's

        • +1

yeah more than likely…. but that's the reason i don't get them…ignorance is bliss.

i'm sure once i did i wouldn't want to go back, but i'm happy with my larger screens.

then lets not even get into the extra grunt required to drive them…

at the moment i can run 3x1080P monitors flawlessly with my 5870. (ok so for borderlands with everything up to high it was a little chunky)

would then require an upgrade of a graphics card too, or crossfiring it… then there is the extra energy that comes with the crossfire!!! argh, ill just stick to my 3x1080P gaming.

    • +1 for using the word chumps

  • Quality clearly is not in your vocabulary.

  • +4

    2560x1440 or go home.

    • So I guess you have a nexus 10?

      • that resolution is seriously overkill for 10"

      • thats so gonna be my next tablet….when they drop to under 300 bux!

    • -1

27" FHD monitor is for old people with bad eyesight.

  • +3

    I dont mind my 27" @ 1920 x 1080 good for gaming.

    • -3

yeh its called buy 1440p monitor, right click desktop->screen resolution->1080p, play game
reverse when your using it normally

  • +2

Yup, another chump here, who loves their brand name, VESA mounted, under $400 IPS 27 inches of glorious color!

    Nice price OP

  • I have been looking for an IPS monitor and Dell make a gorgeous display. At this price, I couldn't say No!
Free delivery to capital cities isn't a bad incentive either!

    • This isn't real IPS… I have used this display and the picture quality is very average (colour depth, etc). It's not a wide gamut.

  • As far as using this for gaming goes, there are no 27" 1440p monitors with a lower input lag than this model.

For fast action games like first person shooters, flight, racing, etc…. this is a great choice.
