  • Hey rep, I know it's rated 200 psi, but what psi can you actually pump it up to comfortably without breaking the handle? Is there a return policy?
    Cheers

    • I don't know about the maximum safe PSI but I'm sure it's enough. They come with full manufacturers warranty. The Bikebug return policy also applies: http://www.bikebug.com/policy-pg-1.html

    • apparently it has a switch for selecting between high volume (for low pressures) and low volume (easier for high pressures).

  • thanks - order placed. And I grabbed a new RS30 rear wheel too… so much for saving money!

  • ordered one…
cheap enough floor pump to give it a try

  • Pickup available?

You can collect from our North Sydney store if you specify that in the checkout process.

  • If I buy one today, can I pick it up next Friday (when I come to Sydney)?

    • If you order online and specify in store collection, then it will be waiting for you there.

  • Why does my email confirmation say:

    Products
    1 x Rav X Dual Phase 200 Pro-Performance Pump (P217) @ $39.90 Inc GST = $39.90 Inc GST

    Sub-Total: $39.90 Inc GST
Courier (Delivery cost): $9.90 Inc GST
    Tax: $4.53 Inc GST
    Total (AUD): $49.80 Inc GST

I applied the code and it said $30 redeemed.

No mention of discounted price in the email.

    • A couple of orders have not had the discount applied at the checkout. We will be refunding the difference manually.

      • happened to me - i entered code and redeemed again and it worked.

      • It charged me 49$ too.

      • Still waiting for this manual refund. Appreciate it if this can be done ASAP. Order 4827.

  • Any recommendations on a light set (on a budget) which would do the job for riding around the suburban streets at night?

This exact pump was available at Aldi for $15 about a month ago.

I grabbed one, not bad, but not great either, have another gauge handy.

    • +1

Exact pump? The aldi one is a Bikemate

  • What does it mean by 'Dual Phase'?

Does it pump air while pumping both ways? or just on the way down?

    • It has a switch for selecting between high volume (for low pressures) and low volume (easier for high pressures).

ordered, thanks REP. No email confirmation thus-far, apart from Paypal. Hope it went through ok…

    • ordered one pickup, didnt get an email either! 'waiting to get the email before I go down to the store, definitely went through but (transaction shows up on my bank)

      • We deliver to the shop from the warehouse, so you need to wait until you get a confirmation that your order is ready to collect. The automated email confirmations of orders are slow because of the bank, not us.

        • dropped by the shop this afternoon had plenty of stock but wouldnt sell me one for $10 because I had to do it through facebook :P doesn't matter but ill wait for the email and pick it up, thanks for the reply rep.

oh god a another bike store, lets cut this short - my card number is xxxx xxxx xxxx xxxx, just charge me and send me something random, i'll end up wasting hours looking for more stuff i dont really need

btw the ultegra di2 groupset for $1499 is dirt cheap, wiggle is selling this for $1800 odd and thats before you get hit with gst

    • Yep saw the di2 and that is indeed cheap. Too bad I can't justify buying it!

  • I tried ordering one, used the code FBPUMP, but it still went to Paypal asking for $49.80

    • +2

type the above code in the redeem voucher area and then should adjust the invoice first, then go to paypal option to pay, worked for me anyways with paypal

Hope this is worth the money, we'll find out soon enough!

    Good review!!

    Seems like a good buy

  • has to be better than the cell bikes one i got, rated to 160psi, and the lever holding the nozzle to the valve snapped off because it was plastic, this one looks to be better quality

  • got me self one. cheers

  • Thanks. Just bought one.. Been looking for a good pump for a while now..

  • Thanks Bought one. Walking distance from my office. So will pick up tomorrow during lunch from N.Sydney Store.
    Hi Rep,
I have paid through paypal, Can I just come in and pick up the item or Should I wait for your email for the confirmation?

    • +1

Just take in your printed invoice to the shop. You need to wait until you get a confirmation that it's ready to collect.

  • +1

Thanks OP! Bought one just for fun…now to get a bike..

  • Thanks just ordered one, can I have it picked up by someone else? what do they need to bring?

    • Just take in your printed invoice to the shop. You need to wait until you get a confirmation that it's ready to collect.

  • Just ordered, thanks.

  • Just to get this straight.

BikeBug were selling this item for $99.90, then later for $39.90, the exact item was at Aldi for $15, and now BikeBug sell it for $9.90.

    $100
    $40
    $15
    $10

    Ah huh.

    • My point being, I find it difficult to understand that Bikebug were earlier selling the same item for ten times their present price.

Just what are the 'margins' on bike 'gear'?

      • These were being sold at a loss in order to clear excess stock taking up space in our warehouse. That's the whole point of something like this. The Aldi pumps mentioned elsewhere are not the same pumps.

    • are you sure you are comparing apples to apples. what material was the aldi one made of? unfortunately aldi annoyingly remove all their old specials very quickly from their website nowadays.

    • +1

I think his point is the original price was highly inflated.

      • +2

i guess they pump them up to start with …

        • +1

At least the postage is a flat rate.

  • Rep, could you please cancel order #4880?
For some reason the discount code didn't work with that order.
I created another order #4973 instead.
    Thanks.

    • 4880 didn't go through so I've just left 4973.

  • Thanks OP. Good promo for your site!

  • SOLD OUT???

  • rep, Can you give me first dibs if anyone wants to cancel order?

    Let me know thanks!

  • Bugger, out of stock. If you get any more stock at that price, i'd really love one too please.

  • Me three if you find you have some more……

  • Should this thread be marked as "EXPIRED" since stock is no longer available?

  • dammit - woz desperate for one of these:(

  • I would love this item as well i missed out is there anyway you can be notified if its on again?

    • +1

Thanks everyone but we've sold them all now, so there won't be any more of this pump.

  • A better bargain, just cycle to the nearest petrol station - free air. Works for me every-time.

    • how would one cycle there with a flat tyre which you could pump up with this?

Plus the electronic tyre pump at my servo doesn't go up to 100psi

      • yes it does, the volume it pushes into your tyre will more than likely pop it, it doesn't check the tyre pressure except for between each air push, so because it's a car tyre pump, it will push X amount of air but that X amount of air is already well above what's needed in your bike tyre, it may not go all the way up to 100 but you'll get a good 60-70 psi from it!

        • so your recommending inflating tyres to a non-exact psi with the chance of damaging the tyre, as opposed to just using a pump fit for purpose (which was squeebs argument)?

plus good luck for those with presta valves

        • i'm pointing out that it can in fact go up to 100psi, whether it's exact or not is not part of the statement that you made, that the servo pump can't go up to 100psi

i bought this pump myself and wouldn't use the servo pump for bike tyres either, but your statement was wrong and i corrected it. also the tone of my reply does not in any way encourage you to use the servo pump, hence my reference to the fact that you will most likely pop the tyre if you leave it on for any more than 2-3 seconds

  • Has anyone got the email for the pickup? I am still waiting for mine.

    • got my shipment notification today so would assume pickups would be similar

    • still waiting as well! got the order confirmation but :) any day now!

    • Got my pick up email yesterday afternoon and picked it up today.

It's a good solid metal pump. Took 19 pushes to get it to 100psi in volume mode.
It normally takes my little portable pump 100 or more pushes to get there.

      Thanks very much!!!

      • Got my email for delivery today as well. Will be picking tomorrow.

  • had a delivery attempt today (but wasn't home)…
thats quick delivery so a+ for that…

  • just got mine. awesome pump. shouldda got a few just cuz it was so cheap!
    thanks!

  • got mine… excellent pump

  • Picked up mine as well. Looks good.
Quite impressed with the quality of the pump.

  • This is a good bike shop, nice crowd of slightly insane and dedicated riders(this is meant to be a positive comment), good knowledge, very impressed. Good service too and pricing is some of the best for a local shop.

I bought some excellent pedals for commuter too(touring type that wiggle and crc dont sell) and also the conti race tyres most people use on road bikes nowadays were there for $6.00 a tyre, so picked up a couple!

  • Happy with my purchase, great pump! Thanks bikebug!
