wolfenator87 on 09/03/2013 - 23:24 ¶Perhaps a viable wife replacement through (semi-)automated product substitution?

Seems like everyone else got 110V

prisonerzero on 09/03/2013 - 20:32 ¶Are we sure that this ships with a 220V power supply? Because if it doesn't, it is not a cheap conversion.
Edit: Yep it is 110 volt. This might end up being an OK deal anyway, but you will need to source the 240V power supply yourself. I believe it isn't a good idea to get cheapo ones on eBay. This place sells them for $49.95.
Edit 2: I revoked my neg because I'm incline to think that because Amazon is shipping it to Australia, they must be shipping it with a 220V power supply. They never used to ship these to Australia. If any of you are thinking about buying one, I would suggest getting a confirmation from Amazon first.
-1 voteEven if it is a 110V power supply the modification instructions required to use it on 230V are easily found online and from memory only requires a capacitor and resistor to be changed. If you're handy with a soldering iron it shouldn't present too much of a challenge.
+3 votesIt is possible to modify but keep in mind if it can be unsafe if not done properly and not to mention it is illegal to do use a modified adapter, as well as it voiding the warranty. Also from a quick search, the capacitor and resistors required are fairly expensive ($40+ from one aussie user attempting this hack).
Under $40 shipped for an adapter here:

cameron_les on 10/03/2013 - 09:33 ¶Thanks for that bockers. 110V means this isn't a great deal at all and I almost ordered one.

Well, 110V is not the end of the world. You can add this to your order for US$19.90:
http://www.amazon.com/Battery-Charger-Irobot-Roomba-Adapter/...Or buy this one for AU$42.35: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/iRobot-Roomba-230V-240V-AU-Charge...
…or, modify yourself (wouldn't recommend unless you know what you're doing).

otherwise they wouldn't offer it to oz/ European countries customers.
