For those interested in an English language console with local warranty check out @ Jb Hifi Deal $251 Delivered

Bundle includes PS Vita (WiFi) Console, Playstation All-Stars Battle Royale & Futuretronics Starter Pack + Local Warranty

      Deal Link: http://www.jbhifionline.com.au/game/ps-vita/playstation-vita…

      • "* PS Vita memory card required for play (sold separately)"

It's silly that these consoles are sold without the memory card. I could've done without the "Futuretronics Starter Pack" and have a card instead.

        • Agreed. That starter kit is a PoS. If you're worried about warranty then you're better off waiting for another deal like the $198 EB WiFi model deal again and buying a decent memory card (32gb is $80 delivered from HK) and a PS Plus subscription.

    • Wasn't there a deal a few months ago for $200 plus a whole bunch of games?

      • +1

There was the Black Friday deal in the US which was 2 games and a 4gb card. That wasn't including shipping though from US.

        • Thanks that's the one I was thinking of.

  • LOL catch of the day customers got scammed…

    • +6

not really, this one is WIFI only and cotd wifi + 3g so yeah..

      • +6

To be honest I found the 3G model a waste of the extra cash/tech. I used 3G function for the first month and never bothered again as I found it more suitable to tether to my phone or WiFi at home. I now have a couple of WiFi models and have never once needed the 3G since selling it. I believe most people have had the same experience but there are some who don't have a modern enough phone to tether I guess.
Also the 3G model is getting replaced by the new 4G model soon it is said.

        • 3g model also feels heavier in the hands compared to the wifi model

        • +1

I can't say I've ever noticed that myself.

Too many bicep curls with it bro

does ps vita work without memory card?

    • +2

Only on a few game cards can saves be made (Lego Batman is one of them) most need a memory card to save. So yes, you can play but will need memory to save or play online.

    • No, you need a 4gb at least.

  • I think the cost of buying Little Big Planet equates to the cost of having 3g option. It's much of a muchness.

Except that you can buy/sell the game later, whereas you can't buy a 3g upgrade without changing your whole vita. I guess 4G could make that redundant, but I know I won't have 4G for a very very long time.

    • Yeah, but to use the 3G functionality you need a SIM in there don't you, which is an ongoing monthly cost to the user to be able to partake in the benefits of connectivity without tethering. Given how I expect people use their Vita's I would have thought wifi-only would be suitable in most cases.

    http://www.amazon.de/Sony-PlayStation-Vita-WiFi-inkl/dp/B009…

These two are probably notable mentions as well, $216.92AUD delivered, both of those packs include a 4GB memory card (about $20 - 25 worth I think) and different games that people might be interested in.

    Just some more options…

    • Do you know what language the Assassin is in? English or German?

      • +1

Sorry mate don't know… I have seen these deals posted before though so I can only guess it's playable in English, might be worth a little research if your looking at buying though.

    • damn i did so well not giving into the eb 199 and cotd 199 sale but this is so damn tempting..!

    • Just a heads up, that call of duty game was developed in 4 months and is regarded as one of the worst games on the platform

      • It's better than Resistance but yeah, it is still a dud

  • Hmmmhow come it's $199 for me~

  • -1

To anyone that has a 4G phone, what is the connection like? I've heard that 4G connection only kicks in 25% of the time with the remainder being in 3G. I'm still deciding whether to make the switch to a 4G phone in the next few months or just stick to 3G for now/

    • I'm with V******* 3g before. Then I switch to virgin mobile 4G. No regret.

      • I was with Vo 3G, I switched to Vi 4G a few months ago. Too bad none of the 4G towers are in my common metro area, nor in my common home metro area, nor the major metro area shopping centre I frequent. Those towers are set to be installed later this year.

        So… kinda sucks.

  • Is it the PAL version?
.. or are they all the same?

    • +1

I'd be more concerned with the language.
I got a german resistance game XD

    • +1

PS Vita is region free. if you're talking about the game, it should be PAL region and it's capable with AU PSN store.

  • $170 EUR = $208.55 AUS?
Think JB HI has a deal with a 4 gig card for around that….

    • +1

That's before the removal of VAT :)

Just added it to cart and it shows around $198 AUD

Edit: XE shows $191 AUD :)

  • +5

darn it..not another ps vita deal….must resist!!!!!

    • +6

Give in!!! You wont look back!

      • Yep, do it. Vita is the cross bred canine's proverbial scrotal sack.

  • I bought a WiFi model in the US when I was there and have only used it a couple of times…expensive impulse buy! Came with Madden and a couple of traded games. Must get around to eBaying it.

    • +3

Why don't you ebay that PoS game and buy something decent for it?

    • Get uncharted; you won't regret it.

  • great price. got mine by about the same price at dse. got lucky. signed up to psplus. never looked back.

also, named it clements, in memory of the powerhouse. ign readers should catch my drift.

  • This deal is kinda better than the jbhifi sale, this is gonna sell out soon, better hit the buy now button!!!

  • How does one check the delivery option/prices?

  • For anyone wanting to get a 32gb memory card I recommend you buy one from amazon as well. After the removal of tax it cost 70,59 euro = $86.60 AUD (cheap but $10 more than superufo)
My order came in at a total of 230,49 euro = $282.79 AUD for the Vita and the card

  • I'm selling a brand new PS Vita Wifi + 3G for $210 if anyone is interested message me.
