    HI Does this coffee suit vietnamese filtered coffee style?

    Or will I need to grind the beans myself?

    I see options for Grind.

    Would I choose Espresso Grind, or

    Plunger, StoveTop, Drip?

    If I want to make Vietnamese filtered coffee? I'm guessing Drip? as it drips through the filter?

    Sorry I am a Noob when it comes to Coffee.

      There is an option to select either whole bean or the grind type you require. If you want us to grind for you I would recommend the plunger stovetop grind for the Vietnamese filtered coffee style.

      If you do have your own grinder then it might be better to order whole beans and grind as you go due to whole beans staying fresher for longer

      To be fair I can't taste any special flavor in any coffee… But probably my tasting ability is not good enough. This coffee is not bitter, smells awesome and it's much more delicious compared to many other coffees I tried before. I bought Jamocha from Manna Beans before and it was great.

    PS: Manna beans specialty blends consist mainly of cheap filler beans then they throw in one or two other ones in the bag for legal reasons- now its a specialty blend!

      Define cheap filler beans? Unless you roast my coffee I don't see how you would know what beans I use in my blends. All coffee used is 100% Arabica, no robusta and even the base coffee I use in my blends is fully washed coffee from award winning estates. The speciality single origin coffees and Grand Cru beans on our website are not necessarily best for everyone more for the connoisseur.

      In actuality 90% of Australians are milk based coffee drinkers and much prefer the blends which are designed exactly for that.

        Arabica is good. But all words aside, I've had manna before and they are really good. In the end, it's all down to the taste and they are a winner regardless of what's in the packet.

    Hey mate, I'm a Long Black drinker and like my coffee fairly strong and with good crema. Can you recommend me something. I got 2 bags from the previous deal but need to think ahead :)
    Personally not a fan of the Jamocha as I found it a little too acidic. Will be trying the Indian Tiger tonight but always keen to get some recommendations.

      Hi Gimme,

      Sure thing. The Jamocha and Tiger Mountain are better suited to milk based coffees as they have a good acidity to punch through the milk. For long black fairly strong coffees we have some great Kenyan beans.
      Both on our website:
      Kenya Mihuti AB
      Kenya Mukangu AB – Fully Washed

      New coffees we've just received:
      Kenya Thiaru
      Kenya Kagamoini
      Kenya Fortuna
      These 3 all have cupping scores in the 90's

      Also highly recommend Ethiopian Yiracheffe fully washed. Got a few nice Rwandan coffees would suit long black as well.

        Just tried the Tiger Mountain and really enjoyed it. It seems to have far less acidity than Jamocha and went down nicely as a LB. I'll try the kenyan next time (hopefully you'll do a deal on those in about 6-8 weeks :))

    What is Jamocha?
    I can see it's a mix of cocoa flavours, but is that just in the beans?
    Or do you actually mix in cocoa beans?

      Hi Wade, no its a coffee blend consisting of Columbian, PNG and African coffee beans. It is due to the flavour characteristics of the coffee beans themselves and how they are roasted that bring out the chocolatey flavours

      If you're drinking milk based drinks, do you think you could notice a significant deterioration in quality after 6 weeks? Or even 8 weeks?

      I often home roast, so don't get this problem too much, but curious.

    Not a joke, but I did witness quite a humourous event at a cafe that roasts the other day. True story:

    A lady came in, furious, slamming a half empty bag of coffee beans on the counter. Said she soaked them all night, then cooked them, but they just wouldn't soften enough to eat.

    Poor owner said days like this just makes him want to quit.
