Convert Velocity to QFF

Any info on how often these offers come up? Have around 50k velocity points I'd like to shift over to Qantas

Ive never seen such an offer… however, you can sell your velocity points to someone and then buy QFF points from someone else.

Wouldn't really make sense for these two rivals to have any partnership that would allow you to convert their points to one another!

Completely different companies - velocity is virgin.
There is no official way to do this, and selling/swapping your points is a violation of their TOS which can, and has gotten accounts closed and points voided.
