    No price? Must be free.

  • Price and seller in title please

  • +1

Yep hit submit too quick. Sorry guys. $1995 @ JB hifi. I'll update

  • I am after 75 inch under $2K. Is it the best possible option? Sorry guys not good when it comes to TV so need advise

    • +3

yes, P8 is fantastic picture quality. what a bargain

    • My P9 is the business, and I'm told P8 is close in quality.

  • OP were there any other deals in this catalog? Samsung QLED?

  • +5

Have this TV for over a year now and could kot be happier. Once you go 75, you can never go back!

    • +1

      I'm thinking 85" now.

      • -2

        8K

        • There isn't enough 8K content to justify the cost.

  • +1

Argh….why you gotta do this to me JB?!? Really want the R7 for the added Bluetooth, Dolby Vision & Atmos but this is a great price :(

    • If the P series doesn't have DV then it isn't worth it imho.

      • Yeah I agree, just very tempting at that price. I’ll hold strong for a cheaper price on the R7 though.

  • edge-lit array (light comes from the bottom edge)… so not true local dimming

  • Just for the record, JB also have a 75” Samsung smart TV for $1995 (RRP $2795) on special. Not sure which is the better deal but I dare say Samsung is slightly ahead.

    • Can anyone compare?

    • +1

      https://www.jbhifi.com.au/samsung/samsung-series-7-ru7100-75…

If this is what you are looking at, the Samsung is only 100Hz. The Hisense with 200Hz.

      • For a non-gamer, which is the nicer panel?

    • If it's the Samsung series 7 that the op linked to just above my comment then the Hisense P8 is definitely a head. Ozbargainers have posted reviews of the Hisense series 7 scoring better than the Samsung series 7.

      • Yeah I'd agree. I'd rather the P8 over the series 7 any day

        • Whats the warranty like on Hisense. I had a Samasung crap out after 5 years and they replaced the panel at no cost… Never seen warranty service like that before

    • If you don't know which is the better deal, why do you say Samsung is slightly ahead?

  • +4

    Not bhed. Good price.

    • +2

2 years in nut behad, gud size. not behad

  • +1

Are P series are 2018 model?
    N are 2017 and R are 2019 models?

  • Is there big difference of image quality between this and LG oledn? Sr im after the new one for new house but have no experience about this

    • +3

Massive, but the price difference v 75" oled is even larger

    • If you need 75" get this.

If you want the best TV at a cheap price, get a B8 OLED. They are selling cheap lately (see HN deal on front page of OZB for instance).

      • b8 oled for 65 inches for sale 2995 at jbhifi

im finding out the better price

        • I'm looking but can't find this deal on the B8 OLED that you are all talking about, anyone care to throw a link this way?

    • +9

      this is P8.

the one you linked was for P7.

  • +1

How does this compare to the Sony X90

  • +1

JB also has the 15% off Samsung TV's… But with 10 exceptions. lol

    • Yep. Hisense 65R5 is $995 and excluded from the 15% off. So I just bought on eBay for $877 delivered from another vendor.

      • Which vendor on ebay?

  • Bought this tv for $2400.00 so I could rewatch GOT before the finale.

    Awesome tv. Great price.

    • Does this TV run full Android for the smart TV function? If so you can use vpn from app store?

      • +1

        Not Android. Hisense proprietary OS.

    • Can you please share your Picture Settings? Got Enhanced HDMI to work? Thanks.

    • Shame GOT isn't in 4k. (except season 1).

  • +2

    but got junk mail

We call it the the good book around here

  • Which is better Hisense 75P8 or 75R7?

    • Should be the P8

  • Don’t forget to pair it with gift cards from Suncorp. Some savings there too.

  • Anyone know if this is better than a lg ub980t?

  • This or the 65" B8 OLED?

    • +2

      B8 oled easily.

      • Thank. I picked one up today for $2350 from The Good Guys.

        • Can you post photo of receipt. Website is 3k

        • +2

So you asked for advice after you'd already bought it?

  • 75p8 is shoing $2545 at JB

    • sorry just saw starting tomm

  • Any chance OP can update the post with a photo of the catalog showing the discounted price? Thanks.

    • +1

Nevermind, just bought one :) Thanks!

  • Does anyone know what the equivalent TV to this model is on Rtings?

  • -5

You need approximately 4.7+ metre space to view this. Anything less may not give pleasant results.

    • Dunno where you're getting that number mate. I have a 110" projector screen watching from 3.5m…..

    • If anything, you want to sit closer to 4k panels to see the quality increase….

    • +1

The idea of High resolution is that you can seat as close as possible without seeing a single pixel. I view my 75inch 4k Sony tv at 2.8 meter.

      • Like being front row at IMAX?

  • -1

As much as this is temping for the size and price, I’m still leaning towards an LG 65” C9..but I guess I’ll have to wait another year or so to get one anywhere near this price.

    • +2

Can't compare an OLED with led.

    • lol at least 18 months to get anywhere close to this price. By then you'll want the C10.

I bought a C9 recently. But to be honest, if I could go back and do it again, I'd get one of those 65" B8's at ~$2,000.

Not unhappy with the C9 at all, far from it and I wanted future proofing so I paid for it. But for what I use it for now, a B8 would be fine. Upscaling on the C9 is really great though.

  • What is the true refresh rate on this? Is it really 200hz? Cant find any info that says actual hertz, only says smooth motion, even on the pdf spec sheet from their website.

  • hmm. I am getting tempted for this one but I am also getting Samsung RU7100 75 for $1750 delivered with some negotiations at JB. Cant decide :-(

  • Purchased! Cheers

  • Bought. $59 delivery to Vic south east suburbs, pretty good if you ask me.

  • Anyone tried to get a cheaper price in-store?

    • +1

      Tell us how you go.

      • I managed to get this for $1850, i think i could have pushed for $1800 if i tried harder

        • Can you share the purchase invoice?

        • Care to share the receipt broda? Or its fake

          • +6

            @Ozie: Sorry for the delay
            https://imgur.com/IcsAAkT
            Goodluck!

            • @iianthony: Thanks mate, got the same deal. They were a bit hesitant as your receipt didn't have a date but eventually gave in.

            • @iianthony: Purchased! I managed to get it at 1909$ delivered thanks to your receipt. Cheers.

        • Thanks for the receipt. I am at jb hifi. They want the receipt showing the date on it. Can you please upload the receipt with bottom half please. Thanks mate

        • Hi mate can you please upload the remaining half with date on it. I am at jb hifi and they want the date as well. Thanks mate

        • Hi mate

If you are seeing this message please pm me the receipt showing the purchase date please. I desperately need to purchase the tv. Jb guys don't do anything without the dated receipt

    • They would only throw in delivery for me, no further discount on the price. Might try again tomorrow.

  • How long does this deal last for?

  • Just purchased, thank you OP!

  • Does anyone know which is better? Hisense 75" 2018 75P8 or 2019 75R7?
    It get's pretty confusing. thanks!

    • +1

You've got Quantom Dot on the P8 but not the R7, to me (an everyday Joe) the features of the R7 far outweigh the differences I could tell between them in picture quality instore side-by-side which obviously aren't calibrated correctly but that was just my impression.

The R7 gives you Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos and Bluetooth and a few other QoL features but if you don't need any of those you would probably be better saving $500 (currently) and going with the P8.

      • Thanks for that Jonesy

      • I've currently got a Samsung TV and Samsung home theatre system. I think its the ARC HDMI function that allows me to use the chromecast etc and automatically link the video with the home theatre system audio. Will this simplicity be the same if my next TV is Hisense instead of Samsung?
        Thanks again

  • Has Hisense fixed the HDR on these? I have the 2016 model 75" and it is advertised with HDR, but doesn't actually have the ability to go that bright.

  • thanks, i got two delivered for $3906
