1 Year Accor Plus Explorer Plus MYR1190 (A$388) or IDR4,200,000 (A$416) with 2 Nights StayPlus @ Accor Plus (VPN Required)

430

Update: As a part of the new Accor Plus feature, I have also been credited with 20 status nights towards my gold. If you are starting from scratch, you will start at silver + 20 status nights, so will only need 10 more to achieve Gold. For Accor, the sweet spot is Platinum where the real benefits start to kick in like free breakfast and access to the executive lounge.

Similar to previous deals being offered in our Southeast Asian countries, Explorer Plus membership is offered in limited regions, Indonesia and Malaysia, from a quick search.
It comes with two free nights, making it a sweeter deal.

Not to forget the discount on dinning in the Asia Pacific!

Indonesia link for Explorer Plus is https://www.accorplus.com/id/registration/

My partner already has the Accoe Plus via Amex Platinum. I just signed up as it was cheaper to book two nights worth $530 with this $388.

Note: You can't book two consecutive nights even though you have two free nights. Either you will have to make two separate bookings at the same hotel and reach out to them to make sure they are combined or two different hotels.

I used Surfshark to ensure I wasn't transferred to the AU website. Paid using Wise, AU Amex was being rejected.

Free coupons: MY and ID offer free coupons to use in respective countries. I have entered my Aussie address, so let's see if the kit makes it to me. Otherwise, I am still pretty happy with the digital card.

I renewed earlier this year and have struggled to use the night.

    • Sorry to hear that. We have 3 nights booked for October.

      • How did you get consecutive free nights? Did you book separately and call to combine??

        • We have 2 consecutive nights and then on a week later.

Yes I called them to leave a note. They were okay with it

      • +4

But 4 of of those 5 cities are not Asia Pacific.

    • +1

I just (a week ago) got back from a night at the Sofitel in Melbourne on my Amex linked free night.

I got a lot out of my last year of Amex - they renewed my Accor Plus before I cancelled my Amex Platinum, and credited my Amex $450 travel, so I got roughly $900 of benefit out of them before cancelling (and I cancelled before my fee was due, so I got the benefits without the annual fee). I booked the Sofitel night in July back in December, but nearly thought I'd need to cancel it early in July. When I did, I went to look and could see availability in October in early July, and that's for a $449 room.

I agree there's a lot less for short notice, but if you can plan ahead, there's value there.

The other value is for cheap rooms - I just got a room in Brisbane last week for a short notice trip for a party for $150 ($88 after burning some points) which would have been more but for the red hot rooms member deal.

      • +1

Cheap rooms was a perk i also did not expect when i signed up. $95 rooms in Perth most weekends, at the budget accor hotels.

  • Noob question - are the two free nights limited to Southeast Asian countries or anywhere in the world where Accor Plus Explorer Plus Membership is accepted?

    • +1

      Asia Pacific

      • Asia and Pacific? Or south east Asia only. Does it include Japan ? Sorry for dumb question.

        • +2

Yes, all of Asia & Pacific (inc NZ, Australia)

  • are able to use this in australia?

    • +2

Yup, it's like finding a reward seat to be honest and getting the best value out of it.
      Refer to exceptions: https://www.accorplus.com/benefits-exceptions/

      • +2

Perfect description - like finding a reward seat. I justified the cost of the membership by the free night which used to actually be usable. It's not a "free night" anymore, it's a treasure hunt. One night in a hotel on some random day is of no novelty value to me.

  • Can anyone please help to check what are available in Singapore between sep10 and 12? Cheers

    • Just before the F1, likely not a lot :(

      • The Grand Mercure Singapore Roxy is available for $23 for the night of the 11th using your free night.
All other hotels & the night of the 10th is just the additional 10% off normal rates.

  • Sofitel Darling Harbour in Sydney has blocked off so much of their availability - have not been able to find any date for the rest of this year. Disappointing…

    • +1

Darling harbour has construction going now. Maybe not a good time staying there now as well.

    • Yes we were hoping to stay there with 2 nights from previous deal. Had to go with Swissotel in the end.

Also had to book 1 night at a time. If you search 2 consecutive nights I found there is no availability.

  • Last deal for $199 was great, booked New Year’s Eve where Sofitel was $300 plus

    • +1

Wasn't that for 1 free night?

It's pretty much first in best dressed to book a spot. Much like reward seats.

A lot more availability in Asia though.

      • 1 night yeah but much cheaper than booking one and silver benefits also

  • -8

Not sure how this is a deal as this is really their standard 2023 Accor Plus Indonesia pricing since the last increase late last year. This is not any kind of special promotion which do they occasionally have.

    • +3

Well then none of the other region deals listed on ozb, eg Spotify, cheap Netflix, google one be considered a deal

  • +3

They've jacked up the price. Used to be 1090MYR.

    • Yup pretty much all Southeast

  • Any deals for Accor Lebanon?

    • Doesn't fall in Asia Pacific

  • Anyone have a list of the best restaurants to use for 50% discounts in Sydney CBD?

    • Just used my AccorPlus 50% off dining discount in Atelier in Sofitel Darling Harbour over the weekend.

      • Was it good? Did 50% off also applied for drinks?

        • Drinks @15%

          • @abs898: Interesting, I've just read through many comments from the past deals and alot of them mentioned you don't get any discount for drinks.

            https://help.accorplus.com/hc/en-au/articles/360040289953-Wh…

            Maybe they got lucky??

            • @Homr: Sorry that's correct. I got discount in Asia.

              • @abs898: damn, not the answer i was hoping for hahaha

Disappointing how discount is only in Asia and not in Australia aswell

                • @Homr: You can still get a very good deal on food.

                  • @abs898: Does it apply for breakfast too??

                    • +1

@Homr: 50% was applied for breakfast everywhere we have stayed (and even some places we didn't stay) but always worth asking beforehand.

                      • @Gaz1: Confirmed. Multiple Accor properties across Melbourne, Brisbane and recently Fiji.

                    • @Homr: Yup. Always had 50% off for 2. It drops as you have more people on the table

                      • @abs898: Thanks, a few Sydney CBD restaurants have some decent breakfast offerings.

                        • @Homr: Absolutely. Just make sure they aren't listed in the exempt list. If not, you are good to go!

    • I listed the link to exclusions. You can go to Accor plus website and check restaurants.

    • Have a look at First Table as well

  • Hi is thwre much availability at Bunker Bay Western Australia in November, for a 2 bedroom? Please

    • 2BR will cost you an additional $180/night if using your free night during the first half of November (Saturdays seem to be excluded, some Friday nights too). Second half has no free nights.

      • Thanks Homebrew

  • excellent value, for the free night you have to book well in advance if you want to go to some better accor hotel like sofitel etc. apart from the free night i have also had access to some really really good member rates. so for the last 4 months of usage i'm pretty happy with this membership and would renew happily again

    • +1

Dining discounts are excellent as well across Asia Pacific

  • You need to know you will be staying at an Accor hotel and eating at their restaurant a LOT for this to be useful. For example you can use the discount to get a free breakfast when another is purchased. But if you book a room with breakfast included your membership is next to useless!

    • +1

Not a lot to by honest. You can get it's worth just with just 2 nights a year stay.

Average room for a mid to high tier is $250-300.
You get 2 nights for $388 so thatis straight up is a saving

Book room without breakfast, you get 50% off for 2 people.

You can visit any of their restaurants, some of them are actually very nice and you get 50% off for 2 and reducing from there depending on the diners.

  • Just tried to renew an existing account and it said I was registered in Australia and to contact member services. Used VPN to get the 2 night offer in IDR. Anyone had any luck renewing an existing account?

    • +1

If you don't have rewards points, you might have to close the account and reopen it in IDR

      • Thanks - I’ve got reward points on my account so may have to use them first. Also Accor renewal team called me a couple of hours after I tried to sign up in IDR - they’re relentless.

        • Good luck trying to ignore them. Maybe you can say you've moved to Bali now.

    • Any reason why you are after Indonesia offer. rather Malaysia? The former is more expensive for the same thing

  • If someone has a Stay Plus in their account, anything available for August 1st till 2nd at Peppers in Noosa QLD by chance? Greatly appreciated in advance!

    • +2

Sofitel Noosa Pacific Resort is free
      The Sebel Noosa is $100

      Nothing for Peppers.

  • If I don't intend to use the one free night stay, is it better for me to get the Accor Plus Traveller for $168? or should I just spend another $40 and get the Plus Explorer incase I do need a free night stay in the next 12 months?

    • +1

Spend an extra 40. That's where you get the real value tbh.

      • Yeh that's what I'm thinking. Plus Explorer it is

  • Thank you. I bought it because we have a lot of upcoming travel plans. Lots of free nights in 5 star hotels like Pullman Danang, Japan and South Korea.

They have up to 50% off Asia atm including Maldives. Over the water pool villa is $3k.

My fav chain Banyan Tree has no specials but Accor Plus Rates is less.

I hope to use it for all the luxury hotels in China. It's well priced. 2br villa with pool in Li Jiang, Yangshuo etc these places are still off the tourist radar. Well except the chinese tourists.

    • I couldn't find Pullman in Seoul, possibly sold out for my dates in October but I got mgallery and Novotel

    • Do you have a link to the 50% off Asia sale? I can't seem to find anything online about it.

  • I have upcoming 4 nights vacation to Singapore on August 19-23, is this a good value to get? Anyone can check please availability for these dates, looking at Mercure.

  • What would be better, this deal or https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/767946
Is the main difference an extra night?

    • Yup, 1 vs 2 nights

      • Do you think it's worth the $180 for an extra night?

        • Depends on what you book. My 380 on membership for me 2 nights worth $530-550.

  • Anyone have multiple Accor Plus memberships?

I've had mine via Fiji for years and still have one night to use, just wondering if I'd be allowed a second one to take advantage of this.

    • Possibly on a different email

  • If someone has a Stay Plus account that could check for availabilities in Seoul - is there anything for Oct 19-22? Thank you!

    • There should be

      I booked 7th, 8th and 17th October in Seoul

  • Mondian, Novotel Ambassador, Ibis Ambassador are mostly $0. Grand mercury $100 or so. Sofitel is not cheap. Checked 19-20 Oct.

  • How about explorer no plus?
    Any deal?

    • Did you try clicking on the link?

      • Yeah, the explorer is standard price. Doesn't look like a deal
The explorer plus comes with better price.

        • I am glad a couple of clicks usually solve the issue.

  • Hi can anyone help check if there's anything available in ho chi Minh City 23/2/24-24/2/24? Is there anything for 4 adults?

  • Anyone knows if we can redeem the 2 night free at the same hotel with 2 different bookings?

    • I have, but you will have to let the hotel know to combine or make a note.

      • was it a consecutive date for 2 nights or you booked more nights?

        • +1

          Just 2 free nights.

  • Hi, Can anyone with the membership check if there is availability in a decent participating hotel in Gold Coast between 30/9/23-7/10/23 for 2A+2C, please? Thanks in advance. Cheers

  • @abs898 or anyone with membership check if there is availability for 3 adults at Mercure Tokyo Ginza (Privilege room, 2 Twin beds & sofa - Non Smoking) for 12th to 16th of April 2024?

    • Sorry mate, used my free nights already.

    • +1

It'll cost $1677 with Stay Plus.

  • Could somebody please check which 4 or 5 star hotels are available for Singapore 20-22 (2 nights) for the free stay (happy to pay a reasonable fee ontop of it)?

    • Which month?

      • Oh sorry, December this year

        • Cheapest 4/5-star hotel is Grand Mercure Singapore Roxy at $178 for 2 nights on top of Stay Plus.

  • Hi, could anyone with an Accor Plus membership help me check if I could get a free night at Peppers Cradle Mountain from 22/8 to 23/8? Thanks a lot!

    • Just wondering if you got any help with that? I am thinking about the same hotel in September but I am not sure if it is worth investing into Accor Plus. I think I read somewhere that they did not offer free nights there.

  • Could someone please check if there’s any free nights available in Hong Kong around 3-6 Dec? Thanks!

    • Were there?

  • Is anyone able to check for me?
    Sydney CBD, December 2-4th
