My house does not have NBN or 5G. Looking for someone living in the area and if they can let me know the kind of speeds they are getting with Starlink.

Why can’t you get nbn? Are you in an opticomm area or something?
Yes. Something velocity. Don’t understand what that is and who should I talk with.
Velocity was previously Telstra-operated and it is now been bought out by Uniti Group.
Uniti Group Limited (“Uniti”) is a diversified provider of telecommunications services. Opticomm is a wholly owned subsidiary of Uniti who will undertake the network upgrade works. 
Opticomm will not sell retail services in these areas. Opticomm will only act as the telecommunications wholesaler to other Retail Service Providers (RSPs). Just like nbn co, end user customers will receive services from a retail provider of their choice - such as Telstra.
Plug your address into someone like AusseBroadband and see what it tells you.
Already checked with them. They can’t provide connection to my home.

Your premises is currently within Telstra Velocity’s footprint. It looks like there’s some work required to connect your premises ahead of making the transition to the upgraded Opticomm access network. Please contact Telstra, your current wholesale provider, on 13 22 00 and mention Opticomm or Velocity to arrange a connection.
@Chindi: Give them a call and see what they say. Not sure if they would charge an install fee or not, you would need to compare the install cost + turn around time of Velocity (if you can get it) vs Starlink.
@geekcohen: You will be upgrade to fibre to the premises. For now just call any provider and make them upgrade your connection. Later on you can switch over
@geekcohen: You can't order Starlink in Metro areas. Just get the Fibre installed it will be more reliable and faster then satellite internet anyway. Starlink is more designed for being in the middle of no-where and even then it has trouble with large trees which can cause issues in some areas, but its far quicker then the NBN Skymuster alternative due to laytency being 20Ms instead of 600. But on Fibre laytency won't even be an issue, it will be like 1ms depending on speed chosen and the router and the like.
But you can get 1GBPS speeds with some Opticomm connections so as fast or faster then NBN.
Just depends on area with Opticomm as they are upgrading the network.You can't order Starlink in Metro areas.
Um…. yes you can. I just point in an address I used to live in at Point Cook and allows it. You can order it for anywhere in Australia.
@Chindi: As someone else said you would need to talk to Telstra.
I don't think Telstra wholsaled velocity at all so they exclusively operated it.
But if you let me know an address I can see if any services can be provided or check to see when other providers can access the network for your location.@Chaddy: It also looks like NBN Fibre is also due to be installed at some stage but no date was provided.
As others have mentioned 5G broadband is also an option.
We're in Boardwalk estate, about 1km from nearest tower in town centre. Vodafone, Telstra and Optus all work well enough for us that we never bothered with NBN/Starlink, but YMMV

I checked with vodafone, telstra and optus, they have coverage for 5G but apparently not for mobile broadband.I currently use 4G vodafone mobile broadband and its pretty terrible, there is no NBN and cable here!
We use ~200gb per month and any of 3 network is fine by us. I can recommend JB hifi Telstra 5G plan, or Felix mobile unlimited
The network is supposedly congested here. I'd get a good modem / phone that supports carrier aggregation, preferably CAT12/CAT18 or 5G. We get ~ 10-15mbps on LTE+ in the evenings. It's not fast but good enough for us

I think Telstra aren’t selling Opticomm to new customers yet, only switching customers on Velocity over
Telstra sell Opticomm as well as NBN but you need to be within an Opticomm enabled address for it to show up.
As they all have different API's to connect to so if you are in an NBN area that is what will show up.

What speeds can I expect from Starlink?. It's almost the same for most areas. However, it is my understanding that in the metro area and closer to the CBD, ACMA hasn't approved for Satellites to be over due to possible interference. However in saying that, I have used it in and around the CBD as well as at Flemington Racecourse without any issues and pretty much the same speeds as other regional areas.
Starlink speeds don't entirely vary on location like NBN sometimes does. It varies due to other factors like weather, obstructions, other users on the same satellite etc.
