I missed out on the QHD HP 27" OMEN monitors last time.
Picked up 2, separate invoices, just in time for tax season šŸ˜‰

  • Any Ultrawide deals?

  • What would be be the closest monitor to two 24" 1920x1080

    • two 24" 1920x1090

Just kidding. It's been a painful experience having 2 monitors with different size & resolutions, but it's just personal preference.

      • In kind of a similar boat. I've got two 24" 1920x1080 monitors, one flat and one curved. Dealing with two single monitor arms is also a pain + extra wiring. I havent found a monitor that has two inputs so I can split it into two monitors. Plus, when I'm done with work, I'd prefer to play on 1080 resolution, so not sure how that would work.

  • Is this a good monitor for gaming?
Its specs don't seem dissimilar from my current MPG27CQ; it's just bigger, which is a massive plus for me. Wouldn't mind upgrading to a bigger main monitor and moving my current one into a productivity/casual role

      No

This is a GEN 4 IPS panel,we are currently only gen 7

So it's a VERY old panel, compared to the gigabyte get that.

there will be a lot of lightbleed on these panels, and the blacks are EXCEEDINGLY poor

      • +5

IPS panel? Forgive my ignorance, but the specs for this deal state it's a VA panel. Are you looking at the 27" IPS in the first link in OP?

      • +1

How can you know the gen of IPS panels?

        • -1

Because he's speaking from the bunghole

I have the IPS and there's nothing wrong with it

  • For someone who doesn't really care about the super specifics, the 27 inch monitor good for someone who's upgrading to 1440p and wants something on the cheaper end? Also what size monitor is the sweet spot for 1440p?

    • +2

This is the ideal monitor for you, I'd recommend the 27" flat one also listed as that is typically the sweet spot for 1440p

    • 38 inch curved Ultrawide in at least 1440 vertical resolution would be ideal.

    • I'm running a 27 inch 165hz 1440p and it's about perfect. I came from a 24 inch 1080p 120hz and the extra screen size->pixel ratio is perfect.

  • Catfish. Oos

  • What's wrong with this deal that it only got 70 positive votes? At this price I would have thought this is the cheapest a decent 32" curved monitor has ever been? What's it missing?

i think just low on stock :(
