    • Thank you so much for letting us know.

  • Looking at your old posts the discounts happens so often you could say your normal price has been jacked by 25 to 30%.

    • We increased prices post-Covid due to the rise in the costs of everything from the prices of green bean to packaging but have not increased prices since.

  • $42/kg doesn't sound like much of a deal to me when you can get some nice beans in the mid $30 fully shipped. Yours cost $52.95 with postage which is more expensive or just as expensive as retail.

    • We would love to be able to offer free shipping under $50 orders but unfortunately being a small business we can't.

  • This is actually pretty good pricing for freshly roasted specialty coffee. I feel like a lot of commenters here are maybe comparing it to airjo or lime blue and are really missing the point. Small specialty roasters like this have to do a lot more work with roasting profiles and logistics. Prices here should be compared to places like single o in surry hills or seven miles.

I haven't tried fat poppy before but there are many farms I recognise who's beans are being roasted here.

    • yeah I agree. It's comparing apples with oranges to say 'this other roaster sells for $33/kg, yours is too expensive', when they sell quite different types of coffee (different farming, different relationship with the farmers, different roasting etc). Appreciate that some may not feel the difference in the coffee in the cup is significant enough, but I just wish people wouldn't criticise these small businesses so much when they're already offering a discount.
