Not the cheapest it's been, but @ $319 it's the best deal around at the moment. I bought this the other day and it does a great job.

  • does this rate against bissell?

    • Absolutely. I watched many comparison vids before I bought this. To get an equivalent Bissell you'd be paying almost double the price.

  • Does anyone know if this is similar to doing a steam clean and can remove stains from carpet? Considering buying this over hiring a steam clean machine if so.

I’ve got the smaller one. It’s not a steam cleaner. It scrubs the carpet with water and sucks it into the large container. Haven’t tried it on stains. My guess is if it’s an old stain you might be better using a stain removal product and then run this to lift the loosened stain.

      • Thanks! That’s really helpful to know

  • Any deals on small bissel ones, need to clean upholstery, and some carpet patches

I’ve had mine for about 4-5 months, I love it. I’ve cleaned 3 different houses with it, around 11-12 rooms. I used to borrow a friend’s Bissell carpet cleaner but when the Hoover was on special, I purchased it and I definitely rate it above the Bissell. I find the Hoover circular brushes do a better job of scrubbing carpet than the regular vacuum roll brush of the Bissell.
I do pre-treat stains and scrub with an electric brush beforehand.
The Hoover also feels more sturdy and uses stronger plastic and materials, feels more powerful and sucks more water from the carpet and it is also easier to pull apart and clean.
The only thing I dont like, is the hose attachment. I tried using it to clean a couch but the suction using the hose attachment was terrible! It was barely sucking any water and I’m not sure why. I checked the connection several times. I ended up just grabbing my Bissell SpotClean Turbo.
