Looks like an all time low outside of errors, hopefully a positive sign for EOFY deals to come. Said seller also seems to have a bunch of other good deals that may or may not be record lows.

  • Wow this is an amazing price, thanks for posting. I'm probably going to hold out for EOFY or Black Friday sales though

    • You wouldnt want a 4XXX during black friday time tho.

Deals on a 4080 Super would be nice

  • I have a 3070 non-LHR.
Is there still a demand for this?

Wouldn't mind selling this off and getting a newer generation

  • NVIDIA are now burning 4080 Super dies and cutting them down to make 4070 non Super cards like this PNY deal

This 4070 12GB is the real successor to the current ~$420 3060 12GB so at this late stage of the game, not worth considering until it's under $500

It will be a very long time before this is $500

    • The 4070 is like twice as fast as the 3060 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Eyuukli2epw

      • We're talking generational speed improvements for the same $

Not NVIDIA increasing speed by 80% and then charging an extra 80%

4090 is 70%+ faster than a 3090 and both cards had a starting RRP of US $1.5K

The 4070 is 75% faster than a 3060 and sits in the same tier specs wise because it is a fake 4070:

48% of the 4090 die size vs 3060 being a similar 44% of the 3090
        Same 192 bit memory bus
        Same 12GB VRAM
Increased 200W TDP vs 170W on the 3060

So yes, with 3060 12GB cards currently going for $420, you are not getting the same generational $ per frame uplift with the 4070 until they are under $500

With NVIDIA guaranteed to release some new DLSS 4 features they will justify being locked to 50 series, you would have to be pretty desperate to buy overpriced 40 series cards at this late stage of the cycle

        • That's some convoluted logic, the model numbers don't really matter, calling it a fake 4070 or whatever. Inflation has gone up massively since the 3060 launched, shipping has gone up, wages have gone up, there is no pressure on Nvidia for the 50 series as Radeon hasn't been competitive really, so the 4070 Super I bought yesterday for just over $800 makes sense to me, I get a massive performance uplift over my current graphics card, can play all the games at max settings that I play at 1440P with high frame rates. The Aussie dollar has also been in the toilet the last 2 years.

It might not be value to you, but getting to play current gen games at high frame rates and max settings now, rather than some imagined time in the future for maybe less money, is well worth it to me.

Paying over 3 grand for a 4090 isn't, but the 4070 Super hits the sweet spot for me, and the current price is the lowest it's been.
