  • Great price. I paid $149 for mine a couple of months ago

How does it perform? Strong enough to clean the driveway? I been wanting to upgrade my Karcher K2.

      • +1

We have only used it a couple of times but are happy so far. We only use it for the driveway, to wash upstairs windows and general cleaning outside. At this stage I would buy again if that was needed.

        • +1

Paid $119 before COVID lockdown and have only used it once on the car and happy with it as well. If you can get it for $99 I think it's fantastic value.

Only thing I can't figure out is how to get the hose around the hose reel properly…

          • @Shads: Stretch it out and remove kinks and loops. Then wind it in

            • +1

@Archi: Thanks for the tip! Will give it a go.
This needs a YouTube video for simpletons like me… lol

          • @Shads: Was there a special setting you used before washing the car? I'm terrified i'll damage the paint job or the finish

            • +1

@DaiShan: I only tested on our older car and just used the variable pressure lance which did an alright job, the turbo lance was quite good as well to get those stubborn dirt. Going to buy the rotary brush which will probably be good to use on the car.

Haven't used it on the new car yet as I'm similar, I'm a bit hesitant incase I ruin the paint.

              • +5

@Shads: if you use this rotary brush on your car you will end up with swirl marks 100%. these Pressure washers are not strong enough to damage the paint unless you put the jet nozzle and keep it 1cm away from the car. But good for quick maintenance washes or as a pre step of washing.

wet the car with regular nozzle,
attach a foam cannon (if you have) and let the foam sit for couple of minutes (not under the direct sun), if you dont have the foam cannon skip this step obviously lol
use 2 bucket washing method. put nearly 0 pressure on your washing mitt, let the soap and weight of washing mitt do the work.

dry your car quickly to prevent future watermarks.

                Woila !

                • +1

                  @Cpt Archer: Cheers!

                • @Cpt Archer: Any advice on reasonably priced foam cannon?

                  • +2

@SickDmith: I'm using meguiars kit, from memory I paid like $60.00 the generic chinese ones look more or less the same but the tricky part is finding the connector. Meguiars comes with karcher and gerni connectors. I took foam lance to the bunnings we couldn't fit to the ryobi, so I ended up with karcher.
This one has 10 fitting option, hopefully one of them fits ryobi?

                • @Cpt Archer: Don’t you just hose off the foam? Skip the washing mitt step…

                  • @MuddyClear: If your car already clean and you are using a wash and wax product you may just hose off otherwise I strongly recommend hand wash part. The dirts require physical removal unfortunately foam cannon can not do it completely.

        • Thanks. I'll check local Bunnys to see if they're on clearance too.

      • Do you have the dirt blaster attachment? I can’t imagine needing more power than that.

      Great price
      Terrible value.

Built and priced as a 12 month landfill contribution item (see also Karcher K2, K3 series; entry-level Gerni; and all the other cheap'n'nasty plastic pump units)

      • +1

what do you recommend as longer lasting?

        • Michelin MPX series.
Karcher K4/K5 'Premium' series (not the K4/K5 compact)

      • +2

My Karcher K2 lasts me couple years now and still running. Must be a different K2 from your conclusion.

        • Same here, mine is 2 years in and hasn't had any issues so far.

        • 5 year warranty, not sure what the fuss is about.

      • Says four years warranty on the box…

      • Ryobi does come with a 4yr replacement warranty though.

  • I recently missed out on Gerni Pro for $149. 😥

      • +14

        It's everyone's… Including mine.

    • link of that deal?

      • +2

Sorry, should have mentioned that Bunnings have been clearing out some Gerni models and I saw these at my local store in VIC. Thought I will read up on it a bit in the night. After doing my research, when I went their next morning, they were all gone.

It wouldn't hurt to call your local Bunnings. It wasn't on the website so I didn't bother posting it as a deal.

        • Thank you, that makes me feel better, that would have been an unobtainable deal for me :)

    • In store only at Parafield SA

      • +1

Could you please upload the receipt, so that we could hopefully ask for price match?

        • +2

Have found Bunnings generally won't price match with their other stores when they have a clearance line.

  • +7

Good price but most of these Bunnings clearance/Store specific deals are usually a waste of time for people who try different stores.
Please don't get me wrong, I have up-voted deal, but from personal experience (and with receipts from other deals), I have never managed to get a price match

  • This or Mechpro at Repco for also $99?

    • I was wondering the same thing, but despite what the promo video on the Repco website says I can’t see a full range of accessories for the Mechpro yet. At least you can get all the bits & bins for Ryobi at Bunnings (and a snag, too!).

        • things like MJJC foam cannons

Stuggle to get them for some lesser known brands or you need to do a lot of research.

Eg. my Ozito pressure washer I got a MJJC foam cannon that I read was compatible but then it I got it and I still can't work it out.

    • Go with the one with the longest wty

  • I've got this unit too, paid $139 about 12 months ago. I use it mainly for washing my car. Great deal.

    • Was there a special setting you used before washing the car? I'm terrified i'll damage the paint job or the finish

      • +1

It will be fine. If you've used a self serve car wash that will have a higher water pressure then this unit.

  • damn wish this was in nsw just brought one 2 days ago for $149 just set it up still working out the same issue everyone else is having with the hose

  • +1

    7 left as of 9am
Couldn’t find it at the front where they usually have clearance stuff so just asked the front desk and someone brought one down for me.
Guy who brought it down commented on how cheap it was.

  • -1

    For those that don't know.

You can wash a car with 3,000PSI at 15 litres a minute with no paint damage.

    • +1

I would 100% strip your car car at 3k psi…
All depends on nozzle angle and distance.

      • -1

Having sold pressure washers for many years I'd like to see you try.

        • Lol I've done it with 3.8k psi, not sure how much of a difference 800psi would make.
Altho have to note it was on a 10yo+ car, these factors could come into play.

  • +1

    Thanks OP.

Saved me a 20min drive thanks!

      • Hi mate,

Are you still interested in this? I bought one and intended to give it to my father in law for Christmas, but realised he already had one. Same price with receipt - just cbf going to return it.

  • +1

Can you use this pressure washer to clean Solar Panels?

    • why not?

    • I was told not to use a pressure washer on solar panel by the guy that installed my panels.

  • anyone able to post a store clearance price tag here?

    • have you tried to report to mods? Or you are hoping that mods will search for your comment?

  • There's 1 left

  • …the bunnings guy said stay away from the ryobi pressure washers to me.
out of all the brands this gets returned faulty the most

    • +1

It's also probably the one they sell the most though

      • +1

no. unreliable and just plain bad machines.
gerni is their biggest mover, followed by karcher….ryobi are new to the market and it shows

  • There are heaps in hoppers crossing. Normal price though.

  • +2

This unit is very poor for pressure cleaning pavers / bricks and the attachment included for it for this purpose is completely useless.

I got a few uses out of it over the course of a few years and ended up reselling it for $75. Can't complain.

  • $139 in Collingwood VIC

  • Does it come with the surface cleaner?

  • For best car wash use cheapest hair conditioner 1 part conditioner 2 part water mix and apply with microfiber cloth and scrub off all dirt and grith and wash your car.

Conditioner will protect your hand as well as create a film on car that will be acting like a water repellant during rain.

i am using this car wash method for almost 5 years now and this method has come in NRMA book.
